I did have a noise reduction with two noctua fans in on the quietest setting. They are fitted with the grommets in I think 3 out of the 4 holes, but not necessarily pulled all the way through for all of them. I could have fitted them properly if I had taken the motherboard out, but that would have b...

Clearly last night I was posting too late to think - I found another link quite quickly this morning here - it has and a boot CD image :-)

I like the look of that Ultimate Boot CD though - I suspect that may be making its way onto a CDR near me soon.

Anyone got a link to activate SilentSeek?

Samsung's web site is 404ing for the software for my HD501LJ and I would like to activate SilentSeek. Anyone got a working link?

On that subject, can I activate it without creating a DOS disc? I guess I can do with FreeDOS, but it is still a pain...

Reducing noise from Antec Fusion V2

Hi, Having build a PVR around an Antec Fusion V2 I am happy that out of the box everything is nice and quiet, but it isn't as quiet as my old (sadly dead) PVR based around a Shuttle box with the back cut out of it with a 12cm Panaflow on the back and a Nexus PSU sitting behind it... what it lacked i...

Single slot passive cooling

Having just put together a new HTPC in an Antec Fusion V2 I am on the look out for a new graphics card (the integrated one won't do interlaced + composite sync so I can't get it to display on my TV). ATI brand cards I can trust to do what I need, but anyone else may change the design from the refere...

Thanks for the welcome :D

I had a look around, but didn't find anything about an AIW, but I am sure I can spend a little more time on it.

I am not sure if there is any room to put another fan in the Shuttle, which is the problem. I will have a poke around tonight and see what I can come up with...

I am quite surprised to hear that. Is the cooler on yours the 4cm fan with the fins around the outside? If so I am going to try pulling the power on mine tonight and see what happens. My only worry is that the air flow in that little case isn't great - it does get quite warm. I am sure I can drill o...

Killing the noise on a Radion 9000 AIW

My Shuttle SK41G isn't what it once was - it has a 120mm Panaflow fan stuck to the back and a Nexus PSU sitting beside it. Having just swapped out the hard disk for a quiet one I am down to the graphics card. In there is a Radion 9000 AIW (listed as a 9000 Pro chip) with a very small fan cooling it....
