Nexus disktwin using clips

Hi, Any thoughts on or actual experience with mounting disktwin-equipped disks in a casing that uses a locking mechanism for its 5.25 bays? I can't find anything on the subject while one of the alternative solutions, Mcubed silent bracket, boasts compatibility with clipping systems. I'd rather use t...

Are your system temps within the normal range? If not, the PSU could be drawing in hot air and that would explain its frantic attempts to cool down. If they are normal, I would RMA the PSU.

You can't, simple as that. The pins have to be pushed in and the only way this can be done is by access to the back of the board.

You could try a bios reset. Refer to the manual of your mainboard. However, mainboards have so many delicate electronic circuits, who knows what might have blown.

Socket A mainboards are still available, but they're getting rare, esp. in "your local store". Online might be a better option.

As for Klipsch: I owned an Ultra until it failed two weeks ago and I understand from the distributor the current 2.1 sets can't live up to the Ultra's reputation. There's better bang for the buck out there. I went for a second-hand amp and two hifi speakers. The bass was too boomy for my taste anywa...

I installed the update just now and there's no hal.dll in the directory mentioned (indicating it wasn't replaced). Mine is an Athlon XP, maybe it's just Pentiums that are affected.

I know of two shops in Germany that sell Seasonics. Both accept Paypal or bank transfer and shipping takes two days. Consumer rights are quite well protected in Germany and Seasonic is a reputable brand, so why not do as I did? I'm afraid the Fortron will prove to be a disappointment noise-wise. Hav...

I'm a she.
My experience is not based solely on the second PC that got very hot, but also on my main rig with very low temperatures (CPU low-40's idle). Not a PSU in its right mind would ramp up in this system.

Alternatively, you could get Verax rubber mounts for closed fans. I'm using them with my Nexus fans myself. Silencio_777 has them in his eBay shop in Germany (shipping is very reasonable and if you don't use eBay he'll give you a special SPCR discount).

I owned two Tagan U01 PSU's and have switched to two Seasonic S12-430's. I replaced my Tagan 480W because I no longer trusted the brand due to numerous RMA-cases (my particular unit being an RMA replacement itself); my 330 was replaced last week because it couldn't cope with the heat (my second comp...

No you can't, you'll need to remove the pushpins of the heatsink and I can't think of a safe way to do that without accessing the back of the board.

This exact same thing happened to me once without any modification of my old Zalman PSU (400A version). Hi Gert-Jan. I'd suggest Seasonic, available from Germany. It would cost you 106 euro (S-12 430 version), that's cheaper than any passive PSU out there. I'm very pleased with the noise level (or rather, the lack of any noise). If you check the recommended PSU list you'll notice Nexus NX3000 scores a...

Hi all, I ordered an Antec Phantom 350W last Monday evening and stumbled across the very disturbing "how many Phantoms have died"-poll in this forum the following Tuesday morning.
