I can control my other nexus fans on the motherboard system fan headers with no problems - I think its just that single 4 pin CPU fan header can't be controlled. It shows up and speedfan can get the current rpm's, but chaging the speed doesn't do much. But I could have been doing something wrong or ...

Plug it in? The 4 pin connector on my p5k makes it quite clear which pins to use when plugging in a 3 pin fan connector (it has the little 'ridge' to ensure it goes in correctly). I have a nexus real silent plugged into it via a 3 pin connector. I can't get speedfan (or the Asus q-fan stuff) t...

Can anyone measure the width of their Fusion?
I'm curious to know if there is any element of rounding with Antecs official figures of : 5.5"(H) x 17.5"(W) x 16.3"(L) 14(H) x 44.5(W) x 41.4(L) cm If they are accurate then the width of the available space in my tv enclosure is also 44.5 cm...so not much luck! However converting their 17.5" to cm ...

Got mine yesterday (S1) and fitted it to my 7800GT. I'm impressed...under load the card (according to ntune which may or may not be the bastion of correctness!) hasn't gone over 50 degrees C. Idles at around 45. Thats in a P180 with one nexus to vent externally and another attached to the Ninja. Bot...

Sorry to dig up an old post, but my situation is the same. I've been following the Infrant ReadyNAS device for sometime because it's relatively cheap (compared to building a new system), RAID, low powered and has all the functions I need in a NAS box --- today. The Infrant NAS device is the same, m...

I probably will add a controller, just so that I can up the HDD fans (and perhaps the exhaust fan) to 12V when compiling code. I really don't see you having a problem with temperatures if you stick all the fans at 5v and leave them. My box has no issues at all, and whilst it is slightly different f...

Is this the best way to get 5V on the Nexuses (Nexii?) if the BIOS won't let me? Since I want to control at least the front 92mm fans occasionally, if not the 120mm exhaust fan, would a cheap fan controller be in order? Something like Silverstone's 3.5" bay controller, though $25 isn't "cheap." I h...

funny you should bring this up...mine failed at the weekend after 10 months of duty! Weird problem, at 'idle' (i.e connected to mains with the psu switch on) the mboard etc recvieved power but pushing the power button on the case..nothing happened. Except the PSU starting emitting a nasty sounding b...

Thanks Cisco and eztiger2, One question..... I read somewhere (can't remember where) that the cables on the Seasonic Power Supplies were fairly short. I may go with the Antec P180 case for my new setup, do you think that the cables will reach? Thanks again for your replies :D As cisco has already m...

I'm running an S12-500 with my premium. No problems at all. X2 3800 7800GT 2 gig ram 2x samsung 250g sata And of course the premium board. I'm not running SLI but I suspect the S12-500, whilst total overkill for my current system, would also be more then enough were I to plonk another 7800 GT in. As...

I can't help you directly, but this is probably better than nothing :) I passively cooled my x2 3800 for a time with the Ninja with no problems. The temperatures at load were within spec, but a little higher than I'd like (55-60 c) Others in here seem to have managed to get theirs cooler passively w...

Hi, Sorry for the late reply and I hope it's not too late. You can use the ASUS rentention backplate on this board with no problems. You don't need to stick the one supplied with the ninja on. In fact I'd strongly advise not doing it all : http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewtopic.php?t=26337 Basic...

Thanks for all the replies folks. Nice to know I'm not completely mental :) I didn't even think to try the Ninja with the new boards stock retention plate. It worked a charm, so thanks for that heads up..saved me a few quid! I'll give some of the glue removing strategys a try later. I might get some...

Scythe Ninja Warning?
Hi all, I bought an abit AN8 ultra and fitted a Ninja to it. Foolishly (?) I peeled off the protective 3M tape and stuck the foam pads on the rear retention bracket directly to the back of the motherboard. After a week of issues with the AN8 board, I decided to buy a new, different mboard and RMA it...

spworley - Thanks alot for posting your experiences here. Your system is practically identical to the box I'm planning to build in a couple of weeks. With all the great reports surrounding the p180 and the ninja I was really expecting it to be something special acoustically...but didn't want to get ...
