Purchased: July 2005 www.ncix.com Failed: July 2006 Serial: D04125500524 After turning it off my computer immediately turned back on only no post beep, no video output, and not even any motherboard power LED on. Swapped for a SmartPower 450 from a friend (out of his Sonata II) and it works great. Tr...

What I did is get the Thermalright XP-120 and install it so its overhang hangs over the little heatsink by the I/O panel, this does a fantastic job of cooling the chipset even with a silenx 120mm.

What do you mean by 5V connector? I can't think of any PSU connectors with only 5V on them, perhaps you are referring to HDD connectors or floppy connectors? For HDD power connectors I would just take some old broken fans with the "pass through" style power connector and rip the metal parts out of i...

I can also vouch for the P180, in the PSU tunnel I have a Phantom 350, SilenX 120mm (yes I know it sucks), 2 Seagate 250GB and 2 Seagate 200GB and they are pretty much silent, quieter than my ATI Silencer 5 anyway. I also have a Samsung 40GB in the top HDD tray and it is quieter than the vid card al...

Yeah I have the A8N-SLI Premium, 4400+, and XP-120 and it floats at around 60 C I think with dual prime95 1.45V / 2.5GHz and was apparrently stable. I have a silenx 120mm "11dba" fan on it. Your board is newer than mine so hopefully the vcore circuit is better; Being limited to 1.45V isn't the great...

I have the A8N-SLI Premium, P180, and Phantom 350. The A8N-SLI's P4 connector is in pretty much the same place as your ATX connector and the cable from my phantom just reaches. The big problem I have is the CPU socket is right under the connector (where yours is quite a ways off to the left, that to...

I have the 600 in a system and it's definitely too loud for me to use as my home computer. I took it to work where the noise floor is a lot higher and it doesn't cause any trouble.

Phantom 350 R2D2 like sounds

My Phantom 350 makes odd little beeps and the best way I can describe them is they sound kind of like R2D2. It only happens at full CPU load, my voltages are all within 1% and the PSU is cool to the touch. Anyone else experiencing this? I would have thought it was the motherboard at first but becaus...

Wow lots of P180s in Saskatchewan I see. Bookrat: I went with the ASUS A8N-SLI Premium (it's at NCIX.com) which has a passively cooled northbridge (uses heatpipes). I also couldn't find the ninja so I went with the tried and true XP-120. I'm also putting the Phantom 350 in my P180 as we speak so I'l...
