In the SilentMaxx manual it says ""In case of overload or high temperature, safety is provided through a replacable fuse." I have no idea what the unit would do if the fuse blew - can anybody here comment on this, and whether or not inspecting/replacing the fuse might help? Also, here is Silentmaxx....

i run my celeron tualatin fanless at 14 watts, by undervolting it to 1.1 volts on my SOYO TISU That must be the 1100 @ 100 that you mentioned in another thread. I'm curious, what sink are you using, and is there any air flow to it at all? I'm wondering if it would fit in the case pictured above... 8)

I've not had any problems with any Papst 4412FGL vibrating noticeably at 5v. It's an excellent 120mm fan, in fact the very best for 5v silence IMO...

Well, so long as I'm not misunderstanding you, then yes I do think you have it backwards. For example, here's a site explaining what I mean.

I just didn't want anybody to break anything trying to pull a locked slot-1 processor off their board! :)

That Papst fan is about the lowest rated 40 mm fan you will find as far as noise goes. Dorothy's is a two wire. I bought a couple of three wires from www.pcsilent.de and www.silentpc.de. Looks interesting - Can you describe how quiet the scroll air compressor is, by comparing its noise level to something else we may be familiar with? Also, is there an issue with condensation that might make trouble for use inside a PC case?
