Could you place a picture of this VRM problem with the heatsinks?

I'm also thinking about this configuration but have read on the Internet many problems, especially with the VRM. What is your exact configuration of heatsinks and coolers, and where is this VRM located?

Thx, my Tricool fans don't click (think 2 years old?) but I can hear them on low. I need another fan on the bottom compartment so I'll probably buy 3 Noctua fans. Temps have been ok for gaming (I have been a competitive gamer). I'll look some exact temps later, but I have put the casefans on low and...

Well there doesn't seem to be a video fan connector on my mobo. But I've rerouted it to my CPU fan connector. That works now with Speedfan.

In what ways is RivaTuner better than Speedfan for controlling the videocard?

I taped all the holes but the HD is still pretty hot: 42° idle. After playing some CS it went to 51°. And after opening my case it didn't come down. I don't have any fan down below, only the fan of the PSU.

I've switched the connector to the CPU fan and that works with Speedfan. So now I can control the speed of the Zalman fan.

Meanwhile I'm writing my report so stay tuned :D!

I will try that yes. But currently I have some problems controlling my Zalman fan speed with Speedfan. It's attached to the motherboard chipset fan connector. Normally you should be able to control that speed!?

Which holes do you mean? :?: You have two kindes of holes: - the roster on the back of the case around the PSU - PSU itself has some openings on the side I'm talking about the latter. Would it be better to do that? Maybe it will force all air to go via the fan of the PSU. Maybe it will stop hot air...

Maybe you want to close the holes around the Psu.This will decrease even more the Hd temp. :)
I have the same problem: 49° :(. I'm going to tape those holes at the back of the case.

QUESTION: Do you also close the wholes that are on the side of the PSU too?

"Would it be a problem to change the HD from horizontal to vertical after a longer period?" Badly worn-out ball-bearings might no like that, but for drives with fluid dynamic bearings, it shouldn't be a problem as they don't wear out that way. Turn HD from horizontal to vertical

I have a P180 case. Currently my HD is in the upper compartment (horizontally). It had been so for 2 years i guess. My question:

Would it hurt my HD if I place it in the lower compartment (where the PSU is also)? Because the HD would have to be placed vertically.

Re: Configuration with the ASUS A8R-MVP motherboard

I will be running 2GB of Corsair memory (TWINX2048-3200C2PT) and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ and was advised that the CPU is too hot to use the Ninja passively. Thanks! I'm running the P180 with an AMD X2 3800 and ASUS A8N-SLI mobo. The Ninja is only cooled with the back case fan. It's mounted to the ...

I'm rather surprised. The case is just very nice in my opinion. I don't have any problem what so ever with the doors. They work perfectly. The HD is silenced with the white rubber thingies. Only seek noise is getting true vaguely, because it's not a closed compound as for example a SilentMaxx HD Sil...

ASUS turns graphic card upside down for better cooling

http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/video/disp ... 20053.html shows that ASUS is going to turn the graphic card (only the ship?) upside down. This makes sense since warm air goes up. In current graphic cards, the warm air can't escape. Really looking forward to some test results.

I've had problems with my setup. I routed the 4-pin cable underneath my PCI-cards, to the right of the slots, and then to the left of the Ninja, towards the plug. It fitted but did stretch. Now my system turns out to be instable. It started crashing. Cause: the 4-pin cable stretched to much. Looking...

I have A8N-SLI and Seasonic S12-500W. The 4-pin connector just, just reaches. It is also located on top of the mobo. I can route it, to the right of the PCI slots (including graphic card PCI slots) and the go left, before the Ninja, and then go to the connector. Just works without any space left.
