Re: New SPCR design & management

I was needless to say shocked when I decided to check SPCR today and see the redesign (which I enjoy). I also agree some sort of announcement on the main page would be good, but you're probably planning something. At lot was already said above, but I truly want to emphasize that SPCR helped sparked ...

I'm going to chime in too I bought this enclosure a couple days ago b/c of the sale at fry's (going for 29 bucks) I bought it more on a whim since I remembered the SPCR review on it and to accompany the 750gb seagate drive I just bought too I'm going to agree that this is louder than expected, while...

quite interesting stuff, hopefully in a couple of years we can go back to having some 40mm fans that that would surpass the efficiency and noise reduction of today's 120mm fans ;)

you might, but I'd be worried about the HD draw on the 12v line, since the MB and CPU will most likely take most of 12v line, I could be wrong on this

wouldn't hurt to try :)

I was under the impression that ATI with OSX = mouse tearing, at least with the 3rd-party Callisto drivers. Unless they fixed the problem.

Two days ago, I spent a good 30 minutes to figure out why the Internet was not working... This computer was infected and I had to manually clean it outside Windows. if it software (bios too?) monitoring, they have been known to be unreliable. use a mutimeter to test the voltages separately, you'd probably would have found out by now or system instability would be a sign.

if you can afford it, try and go for a ATI 1950 pro, you might get a little more value out of it in the long term. According to reviews, it is very quiet

and you're not worried that heat from the back of the psu might be sucked in or you'd probably added something later

does the MB temp refer to the Northbridge or is it a different sensor?

try closing off the "ramped" section from the pci slots to VGA to prevent air from bypassing the VGA cooler.

stupid question, but the rear pci slots ARE open? is the bottom nexus fan blowing to the front? it also may be that the artic VGA cooler is fighting for air and the warm air rising has no where to go what i'd do, I'm the "crazy one" when it comes to ducting :P just look at my sig I think you h...

I'm probably the wrong person to ask about the creative part :) but as Mike C said, all your temps are in the acceptable range. the air restriction should not cause much of an effect, after all, your main components rely on the same side ducts.

I would almost want to say a dell  course it matter's which model you get, but usually dell systems have two fans max (if everything is intergrated) where the CPU heatsink is ducted to the rear case fan, so perhaps replace that fan, undervolt it and away you go! though not sure about the PSU

I've been eyeing it as part of a full system upgrade (to AM2) , it is only a bit more expensive, but probably worth it.

but the back to the orig. Q, mostly like yes. If it can cool my 9800pro then it should cool a 7600gt
