Coolers for Aopen I915Gmm-HFS
I have a Aopen I915GMm-HFS motherboard and I am going to buy a new cooler. I know that that there isn't any coolers that will fit in. But take a look at this one, it says compatible with Socket 479. Have anyone tried this one. I am a bit worry about it not fitting in. http://www.northq.dk/products/c...

I have just found out that the multiplier isnt a problem when I have enabled my keyboard to "Allow this device to wake up from standby". The only thing is just that it cant be enabled because I then get this error: "HID keyboard device is preventing the machine from entering standby". I have afterwa...

Standby problem!
I run a Pentium M processor at 16x126 FSB = 2016 MHz in WinXP at my desktop pc (Asus P4GPL-X Motherboard with a 479CT-adapter). The problem is when I resume it from standby, then the config (CPUz) only is 6x126 = 756 Mhz! I mean that Speedstep only works on laptops. If it should be speedstep it woul...

X300 vs X300SE vs X600 vs X600SE
Im building a silent HTPC and have a problem choosing the right GFX. I have tried an ATI X600XT 128MB DRAM but it had a fan that was a bit noicy. I have just now an ATI X300SE (128MB hypermemory, think its 32MB videomemory). Its fanless but is a bit slow. Im thinking buying an ATI X600SE 128MB DRAM ...

Overclocking Pentium M processor
Have a problem with overclocking my Banias Pentium M 1.6 Ghz processor. I have only got it to 128(FSB) x 16(Multiplier) = 2048 Mhz. I would think that I could reach arround 175x16 = 2800. My setup is: Banias Pentium M 1.6 Ghz Asus P5GLP-X Motherboard CT-479 Adapter 2x512MB Kingston Dual DDR-SDRAM I ...

Hi Mats Thanks for your reply. I think that you have misunderstood me about the problem and situation. Im working with a Mobile Pentium 4 M processor at 2.2 Ghz. Before I broke the pin I tried it on my 478 socket motherboard. I ran ok, but only with 100 (fsb) x 12 (multiplier) = 1200 Mhz. The trick ...

Im glad that Im not the only one who has got in trouble. :-) I think that it has to been one of the following problems: 1) The CPU is burned out. 2) We broke the one pin (I REALLY doubt it) 3) There has been some sort of damage (elektronical or fysical) when we broke the pin. 4) We need to setup the...

Problem with P4M Processor
Have bought this intel CPU (SL6VB) 2.2 Ghz Mobil pentium 4 M with the purpose of breaking the pin and run it a FSB=200. I have a Asus P4GPL-X motherboard which have the ability to change Vcore from 1.1-1.7 V. Firstly I tried just to connect the cpu before breaking the pin. The cpu was running fine, ...

Compatible with my motherboard?
Hi Have found this little psu http://www.logicsupply.com/product_info.php/products_id/181 and was wondering if it would fit other non-mini-itx-motherboards? It's is stated that it will run a P4 at 3Ghz when a P4 cable is mounted on. My motherboard is a Asus P4GPL-X. Im running a Pentium M...

Its a inexpensive solution and thanks for it. I was wondring how big difference there is on the holes on a 478 socket and a 775? Is it possible to take of the black cooler-frame on the motherboard and use Freezer 7 that is for socket 775? http://www.arctic-cooling.com/cpu2.php?idx=34&disc= Ofcause i...

Fanless cooling of Pentium M (CT479)
Have build a silent HTPC with a Asus P4GPL-X, Pentium M 1,6GHz and the CT479 adapter. The question is now that I think that the fan that comes with the CT479 adapter is to loud and I was thinking what other people do to cool their Pentium M processor. I know that some have used Zalmans CN7000 cooler...
