However, it is critically important the air flow through them isn't in series. If it is, the second radiator won't do any good at all as the air from the first will already be as warm as it will ever get. Shoot I was wondering about that. Im obsessed with the Silverstone TJ08, hmm maybe i can cut h...

Two Radiators?

I'm looking into making a compact water cooling set-up, its going to be completely internal. How much trouble would it cause to have two radiators in series, probably on opposite sides of the case. I'm afraid one radiator wouldn't quite cut it, especially because I want to try some mild overclocking...

Acrylic Cases

I'm planning my next build and I kinda want to try out an Acrylic Case. And with this I'll have lots of lights and all so I want to see it, but I'll need to rethink my silence strategy. My main question though, will I lose any benefits with acrylic? Does it transfer sound better than aluminum? Will ...

I'm really liking the looks of the future of Storage. We'll have super charged perpendicular hard drives, hybrid hard drives combining flash and regular techniques, full fkash hard drives, and if IRam and its siblings can take off then I;m happy. I like variety.

Returning it would probably be the best idea because I'm very sure that x800s have more thermal range than what yours started freaking out on. I haven't had mine crash through heat yet except when the ATI Automated Overclockin...

Spiral Fans

Found this while poking around today.

http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9595_22-6044461.html

Its about using spirals to make fans, impellers, heat sinks, and other things. They are looking into the computer world. If their claims of decreased noise are true I might have to "re-silence" my computer.

I'm worried about the future of HDTVs, the transmission standard HDMI requires encryption for HDTV content, and we'll probably get the shaft when manafacturers choose shoddy decoders and loud cooling systems.

My dad's Dell XPS is just a little bit louder than my half finised silencing project, but every now and then whe it gets this one wierd crash playing games, you are forced to turn it off. At which point the fan ramps up think a big two foot fan right next to your ear except higher pitch.

So how would this play in the case of an external radiator for a water cooling system. If I have the fins of the radiator vertical, would the temperature difference of the outside air have a considerable effect?

Ok so I have a 120mm Nexus and a 120mm Aluminum CoolMaster. I'm looking to mod my Zalman 7700. Now I have very limited tools, well actually all I have is a screwdriver so I need an easy solution. I am liking the idea of swapping my coolmaster in, I can get access to a nice drill at my school, and I ...

Maybe you have a particularly loud backlight. Dont most LCDs use cold cathodes? They use AC current and it bothers some people when they see them blink, never heard of people hearing the buzz though.

So how sealed are hard drives? If it is just the pressure hole couldn't you cover it with something like a little peice of flexible material, like a really small balloon. Though you gotta make sure the balloon can stand mineral oil(or whatever you are using) because I know latex can't.
