I'm sorry, but if the drive is too noisy, do not expect too much to be done using a silencer.

I have a HD401LJ, HD501LJ and a WD6400AAKS. The overall noise of all three drives are very similar, particularly idle noise. Seeks are very similar too, there are differences but nothing that could be heard over couple of very quiet fans in a closed computer case. However there is a difference betwe...

Why spend so much on an enclosure when with the same money you could buy a quiet hard drive and image your old HD to the new one?

If I would have been the one to do the review, I would definitely have thrown in the VF700 for comparision insteas of just the stock cooler. True, I don’t know why companies send samples to these reviewers which technically know nothing. How many case reviews you seen without the reviewer bothering...

It’s noisier than the 160GB version; also I found Samsung P120 SATA drives to be nosier than the PATA.

The way these new NB heatsinks are coming out so fast I think in the future motherboards will have retention brackets for the Northbridge too.

Both of these cases offer great airflow managements, you cant go wrong with either one. Also don’t expect anyone to tell you which one is better because there is no simple answer, however noise wise P150 is the winner.

The psu duct seems to be a fairly common p150 mod. Does the psu fan ramp up noticeably without the duct? TIA - FG Well you can't see everything in the pictures; I don’t have any pictures of the inside part but here is a diagram of a muffled duct. It’s mostly the same design but with filters because...

Thanks for the replies. I did notice the P180 supports another front fan. However, how much noisier would the system be with quad 120mm's versus one 120mm and two 92mm fans? I think you are on a wrong direction here, It doesn’t matter how many fans the case supports, it matters how many you will us...

What's up with the top 5.25" slot? That looks like a good way for dust to get inside the case. Neither sound or dust could travel trough the top bay because it’s filtered from both sides. This pictures show the front filters, the rear is also the same but in an opposite way. The NeoHE fan spins way...

You can’t really compare the two without knowing what kind of components you are going to install in them. From what I understand cooling is your first priority and noise comes second. I’ve owned both and I think the main difference between the two is the size. P180 being the bigger one has its own ...
