I got a 2500 barton @ 3200 that uses a thermal right si-97, and it uses a 92mm fan (using the 92mm mad dog fan from compusa) that is set at 7V. The max my processor gets at full load is 51C (idle @ 45C) 25.5C room temp. By then, the power supply fan from the antec trio ramps up.

I actually found out it was my soundcard. When I played winamp the noise would go away and when I disabled my audigy 2 zs soundcard the noise stayed away with no need to put load on my cpu.

I think it's coil whine but I'm not sure where from now. I have a unmodded Antec TP-II 480 Blue PSU and a ASUS A7N8X motherboard. Also I use the Sunbeam 5-1/4" Rheobus Kit to undervolt my cpu and case fan. The Scythe quiet drive is suspended as well. Actually, I think it's related to the PSU because...

high pitch noise

How can I locate this problem?... After changing out the heatsinks and the psu in my system plus using the Scythe quiet drive, there is a high pitch noise emitting from my case (not the lcd monitor since it's still there when I turn that off). Also I found that when I'm in photoshop and I click and ...

Anyone have experience with the FM series of silverstone? They are made to be undervolted since they have a range of 1800rpm to 3800rpm for the 92mm fan (currently looking for a fan for my si-97a). http://www.silverstonetek.com/products-fm91.htm

Sweet, I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for that review. Nice 120mm fan roundup btw, I bought 3 of those Global WINs and they are silent in my hand at 7v but I haven't put it in a case yet. Are the 80mms any good? A pitty Global WIN doesn't make a 92mm version.

It's just 1 degree difference at full load which is what I measure, not idle.

The testing was done on the same system unless I misread it since I was just skimming.

I'm thinking about getting the 939Dual-SATA2 too but the only thing that is stopping me is that the power cable is right behind where the cpu+hsf will be. 1st I think that the ultra x-connect cable's are stiff from some people's reviews so it might be dangerous bending the cable back that far. 2nd w...

I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on this specific unit. Does anyone have any experience with it? Do you think the BFG 5500 OC 128MB could be cooled effectively with the NB47J? The stock heatsink/fan on the GPU looks so flimsy that I was even thinking about just unplugging it. That side mounted fan directed at the video card looks promising as well.
