This is a significant update to my December 27 posting, adding new information and summarizing results. Here's the email I sent to Antec Support at the request of Antec in The Netherlands after my 2nd Antec Neo HE 430 failed to power my system: System : P150 case with the standard Antec Neo HE 430 P...

I forgot to mention that the manual is clear about this. See item 4 on page 5 under "Connecting the front I/O"

Missing speaker in Antec P150? Please confirm.

I can't find a speaker and a speaker cable in my Antec P150. Can someone please confirm that there should be a speaker and where it normally can be found? Is it possible the cable is hidden somewhere?

System: P150 case with the standard Antec Neo HE 430 PSU, ASUS-VM-CSM board, AMD X2 3800, 2*1Gb Kingston memory, 3*Samsung SP2004C drives. Other than a DVD writer there are no additional components such as graphics boards, etc. Behavior: the system will not start up with more than one disk drive con...

Thanks Jaganath, you pointed me in the right direction. There's definitely a problem with the PSU [Antec NEO 430HE]. I've called Antec in Rotterdam and they're going to send me an updated version. I'll let everyone know what the outcome is in the PSU forum.

I can't find any relevant BIOS settings. Just to be sure: it's not that the system won't boot; the power supply simply shuts down after a few seconds and removes all power from the board except for the green led.

System won't start with more than one SATA drive

I just assembled my new system: P150 case with the standard 430W power supply, ASUS-VM-CSM board, AMD X2 3800, 3*Samsung SP2004C drives. Other than a DVD writer there are no additional components such as graphics boards, etc. Behavior: the system will not start up with more than one disk drive conne...

I have the same requirement and are planning to order a BenQ DW1640 which gets top reviews and is supposed to be very quiet during DVD playback. I'm looking to build a Windows Media Centre box for the front room, mainly because it excites me as a big nerd :) I'll be looking to put together a powerfu...

Thanks stromgald & sgent. The rationale for my disk config is to use 2 disks in a RAID 1 array for security and use the 3rd disk as additional unsecure storage. I don't think my videocapture needs warrant a RAID 0 config. I've done video capture a few times, and IMO I don't think RAID is really nece...

Please validate my 1st build

I'm about to order parts for my 1st ever home grown PC and I'd appreciate any insights you can provide. This is intended to be a general purpose PC which ALSO should be suitable for: - analog & digital video capture - PVR The system is NOT intended for gaming. Using knowledge from this forum and the...
