Re: Gigabyte 8800GT GV-NX88T512HP

I've got Gigabyte 8800GT GV-NX88T512HP: http://c1.neweggimages.com/NeweggImage/productimage/14-125-087-04.jpg It has 2pin fan rotating at 100% all the time regardless of the GPU temperature. And it is rather noisy. I would like to silence it a bit. My plan to hush this card is: 1. undervolt the car...

The bands were replaced by the distributor... :)

But I have no more faith in the band... The HDD is still on the pad with silicon grommets... Will swap later back to the rubber bands, maybe.

But on these, the HDD is not that louder, altought is is a bit audible.

Hi Oh, so the new ones are not that good, also? I was told to mail them the snapped band in an envelope, and they will send me a replacement... This is fine for me, and hope they wont snap at all (or so quickly). Anyway, I will leave the tray under the HDD, hoping that in won't touch it, and ...

Hi!

A quiestion to other members, whose rubbers snapped, and the store changed the bands.

Did they swap the whole case, a gave a new one, or just the bands?
Are the new bends like the ones, what they are shipping currently with the Antec Solo?

Hi JVM,

Thanks for the help! I contacted the local distributor, and they told me to send the snapped rubber band back, and they will send me an other. He did not mention if it was the new or the same one though...

I will find out.

My elastic bands are snapped! I just realized now, when I had to open the case that the suspension under my Samsung HDD is not in one piece... :( I do not know, if the warranty goes on this also, but really do hope, because I paid for the good mount system also. The things lasted for around 4 months...

Sounds good... But I don't know if he shippes it to me, and I am not in eBay yet... With the shipping cost, it would be the same.

In €, the 92mm Nexus cost here around 10€.

But I did not see, if this YL fan is available in retail shops... I will look after the type! Thanks!!!

What should I use for HDD cooling in the front of the case in 92mm size?
I only need very-very silent fan recommendations! :)

The Coolink X9 1100 did not worked out for me well (noticeable motor sound)

To the Coolink X9 fan "The X9-1100 deserves special mention for being very, very quiet, even at the stock voltage. No other 92mm fans that we know of can boast such a low noise level at 12V: 20 dBA@1m is very unusual. For this reason, it deserves a recommendation as a fan that can be used in a quiet...

Hi! :D I have bought the P150 finally! Luckily, we had a special sale, where only the case itself was sold, without the PSU. So it was cheaper, but of course not with the price of a new HE430W. The Tricool is not bad, or I could say it is quite good, but I will replace it with a Nexus 12cm. I have n...

I have just read in the past week, that one P150 sold here in Hungary had the SAME BAD PSU as was mentioned here... :(

The PSU and the case is being returned to the retailer... So can anyone tell me, if there is an offical v2.0 serie of the P150, that has a "good" PSU?

I do not know the exact measures of the case, but I have a F64Pro, and as if it is mounted paralell to the motherboard, it will fit nicely I belive... for most motherboards... I don't know about the mATX versions for sure, but even there there should be enough space!

I have the same problem with my new SP2504C (Nidec). My case is the P160 which uses the same HD trays as Sonata. The SP2504C vibrates a lot more than my two Maxtor DM10's and causes the whole setup to resonate. Setting AAM to quiet had no effect. :( You should try elastic suspension... Unfortunatel...

My P80 120GB SP1213C SATAI vibrates the same way, as you do. What is the type of the motor of the drive? It is written on the other side (bottom) of the drive. Mine is JVC. Which single HDD do you suggest more?

Samsung P80 200GB SataII or WD 250GB SataII?

Would it help, if I kept the few months old P80 NIDEC 120GB HD120IJ Samsung and "throw away" the SP1213C, and buy an other HD120IJ?

Would it be quieter?
