Re: Mike's final sign-off

This is a surprise, but I must say I have lately wondered about the relevance of this site as it it is now very easy to build a silent computer. Still, this is my fave computer website and, to put it simply, I trust Mike's opinions. I also have come to like the congeniality of the forum members and ...

The worst ones are the ones that sell cheap insurance and then refuse to payout when you have a major event or condition. They spend their money trying to claim you misinformed them"

It is definitely faster than any other browser. YMMV. It also reminds me of Opera.

As for the ripple here.. To me it seems low and it's way within spec, so it won't do any damage.
Understood, I just like to have ripple as low as possible as I might use as a dedicated hifi computer.

Huntkey Jumper power supply review at Anandtech

http://www.anandtech.com/show/4069/huntkey-300w-80plus-gold/6 I don't know much about these things, but isn't this a very, very good efficiency? If this PS can be brought into NA for a price a third lower than the Seasonic 400FL then I think it becomes a viable alternative. Only thing is the ripple ...

Re: How long can a car battery power delivery 500 Watts for[

Erelyes, that sounds about right. I use 100aH Gel batteries and they won't last all that long with that kind of draw without being recharged. I know people who have had batteries such as mine for ten years and they tell me to get that kind of life out of them you need to never let them go below 50%....

iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab. Anyone else wonder why?

Samsung says the Tab is small enough to go in your pocket, but it is seven inches long and I just don't have room in me pants for another seven inch item. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, hey wot.
