hx620 is modular, the s12+ isn't, you should be able to chase up extra pcie cables off corsair for it to, so you don't need use molex-pcie adapters to run SLI 8800gtx (which needs 4 pcie connectors, s12+ has 2). Otherwise mentioned m12 700w has 4 pcie connectors.

99% is at load, under idle conditions say < 100w its often 'only' 95%. Keep in mind at < 100w its a only a watt or two extra. Same as claimed efficiency, its always at load (say 50-75% or something). some are worse dropping as low as 80%, eg.

Also current trend is 120mm fans on the bottom - sleave bearings run noisier and at a much reduce life when mounted horizontally - ie like in a psu. Hence adda ball bearings being the popular quiet choice, though be interesting to see how 'hydrowave' or other more exotic bearings go.

Something like an antec noisekiller may help, but imo it wont make a difference as the fans going so low speed its generating little vibration. Its more higher speed fans and hard drives that generate enough vibrations to make a big difference, though correct me anyone on this.

xconnect crap / noisy, the newer ones are better but not that great noise wise. Try antec neo HE 380w/430w about the cheapest modular, make sure your getting latest revision (A4) though which should fix all the min load issues and incompatibilities
