Re: What is your first step when silencing 7200RPM HDDs?

Stretch magic = best. stuff. ever.

Plain and simple for the 3 bucks for 20 - 30 ft of the stuff, its the best bang for your buck. Suspend that hdd and just bout all the noise is gone. ALL my hdds in my comps are suspended. even the WD 320gb laptop hdd in my htpc.

Re: Silverstone GD04b/GD05b

The cd drive bay cover that comes with the GD05B is plastic, but they have a finish / laminate on it that looks just like the rest of the aluminum front, it actually surprised me when i took it out and discovered that it was plastic. The GD04B has a stealthed cd drive bay, dunno what its made out of...

ya 45nm calls for a newer vrm spec. some 975x boards can do it, some cant... my p5wdh supports 45nm... but no vcore options and its kinda flaky just get a cheap p35 p45 board n ull be much better off.

Out of curiosity, why did you tape off the side intake? Wouldn't having the side intake directly over the heatsink help cool your CPU since you are using a top-down heatsink? I am using an NSK4480 also, but with Ultima-90 tower heatsink. Taping off the side intake does help airflow a bit in my case...
