CnQ seems to use the same mechanisms as ClockGen does, so any changes made by ClockGen are changed around when you enable CnQ. Is this "enable in BIOS" or "enable in Windows" (via the driver/Control Panel->Power Options)? Deducing from hydroxyhydride's posts, from Windows, right? Cheers, Jan Read "...

Gav, the answers to your questions are something I'd like to know as well. I hope that hydroxyhydride or SpyderCat would answer to them. Re: Can the MSI K8N Neo Platinum Undervolt an Athlon 64?
.... I wonder why you'd need additional under-volting over and above what is offered by Cool n Quiet? What extra benefit will you gain? Undervolting is even more powerful / important than C'n'Q. By undervolting you can lower your heat-production @ 100% CPU-utilisation. You will always set up your c...

It seems we keep on testings these fans until we get a different result

Who's next? Once we are bound to get a good test result.

Re: The ultimate quiet fan cooled case design?
OK, I'm thinking like this: The more area across which you're pushing air, the quieter it is. (For example, 4 fans at 5v is a lot quieter than 1 fan at 12v for the same CFM.) So you'd like to put a 160mm or a 240mm fan on your CPU HS if possible. Perhaps you would like to mount a 240mm fan on your ...

My advise: Fan on the back of the case. I think you will find amazingly low airflow coming out of your duct, still it will cool sufficiently. I don't expect any major disadvantages from using a 63mm duct, as volume transported isn't that large, and the duct is short. A 63mm duct might also be more f...

Ok, one more time...... There is no "best heatsink". It depends... How did you DESIGN your airflow? Ducted or Not? What will the case-temp be like? Do you understand we can't give you the right answer to this question? You have to regard your whole rig as a complex system, and any component has it's...

Ok, anyone can feel free to contradict me on this, im not 100% sure im right. but anyway. In theory the area for air expelled with a 120mm fan is roughly 113cm. Where as with a 80mm fan its 50cm, so even if you have 2x 80mm fans your still not getting the same area to expell the air, no matter what...

The silenx fans i want are 11db with 21cfm and the stock deep impact fans are 24.6 dBA with 31.5 cfm. Yep, and Christian Andersen was another one telling fairy tales. Sorry man, I have nothing against SilenX-fans, but 21 CFM @ 11 dBA is highly unlikely. Belongs in the fairy-tale department.

Anyone got any ideas where I can buy a Black Knight case in the UK or somewhere that will ship it here at a reasonable price. The best I've got so far is ewiz.com and they're asking $150 for Fedex economy shipping. Fedex priority shipping is over $200. There's no chance I'll be paying 4 tim...

1. The CPU is the largest single source of heat, and it is also the most heat sensitive. It makes sense that it should be given the coolest air possible. A "suck" heatsink forces the CPU to be cooled with air that is 10-15° warmer than the ambient. (unless you duct it's intake and its exhaust) That...
