Huh, I have two of them, and they are just as quiet as the 500AAKS they replaced. They are just used for storage though.

Hmmm... If internet access were bandwidth fee based, I might feel differently, but I see ads as a necissary evil, and would like it to stay that way. SPCR will always hold a special place in my heart, as for a very long time, quiet computing was not the norm. As it stands, most computer part compani...

I don't mind banners of any sort, they are easily ignored or sometimes contain interesting content. But pop-ups or pop-overs/unders, they are a nuicance and I generally avoid sites that use them to discourage their implementation.

HP LP2475w (new LG H-IPS panel) is what I have now, coming from a NEC 20WMGX2, and I can honestly say after searching for a quality display to match or beat the NEC for a reasonable price, I have found one. Got it from Amazon for $620, right now it's $580 w/free shipping... http://www.amazon.com/gp/...

Good God, isn't there like a thousand thing you could use at the hardware store, or automotive parts store, to replace it with?

If you can't figure that out, you probably should leave working on your PC to someone else.

I can confirm, the 150 GB HLFS in the Icepack, is quiter than either my 320AAKS or 500AAKS, with AAM on anyway.

With AAM on full, random seeks are still slightly audible, and test at 8ms.

This is simply mounted in the bottom of a P182 with the standard silicon gromets.

Quiet is subjective. I just got a EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 model yesterday to replace my ailing 7900GTX. The fan at stock speed is certainly the most audible part of my system, which can be heard over my non-silenced hard drives which make a whooshing sound when running. I used the EVGA Precision Util...

All 260s use the same reference cooler, the fan settings may vary and sample variance may introduce noise, but I have not heard of any difference in performance (heat or sound) with different brands. But be aware, there are some bad samples out there, in which the cards run extremely hot, due to som...

I had a P5Q-Pro that was unstable as all hell, now all the parts run flawlessly on a EVGA 750i FTW. Perhaps the new NB chips are just not bieng binned as they should, meaning the trash bin is empty while the ship bin is full.

That should not be a concern for the PSU maker. If HDD cables were hard to route, then it is the fault of CASE maker. I said nothing about it bieng anyone's fault, only it would be tough to squeeze it in to a P180. That is Antec's fault. YES... I dont go putting down products that I never used beca...

Well the comment is directed toward modular design, cables that are removable from the unit by means of connectors. They can (do) create resistance, the amount of power flowing through them, and the quality of the connectors is what matters. With large amounts of power, you would like less resistanc...

Perhaps a butane torch and some low temp solder would work. Just maybe put the whole sink in the oven for a while first, to heat it evenly. Then hit the base with the torch until it starts taking the solder.
