chappy, could you please paste the information Antec's gave to you about your problem. I also have a Gigabyte motherboard och problems with that my computer does not start when I use a low-voltage fan.

Perhaps you could try another fan. My Nexus fan starts at 5 V. My problem is that my whole computer wouldn't start, no matter what voltage the Nexus fan was at.

Has no other Antec Neo owner had this problem? I still assume it is the psu's fault, since there has been so much trouble with these psu:s.

Thanks for the info vertigo. So, we should be able to conclude that everyone with a low-power grapics card - which would be most people at this forum - can close up such back air intakes to increase front airflow around the harddrive.

Antec P150 strange fan problem

I thought I might tell about a strange thing with my Antec P150. Today I replaced the stock Antec 120 mm fan in the back with a 120 mm Nexus at 5 V. This made a clear difference to the sound level. But at first, the system wouldn't start. It just spun the fans a few seconds and shut off. After klick...

That is impressive zhenya! It's hard to believe that you can block the front intake and get away with it. There must be a tiny bit of air coming in through the front, around the foam, since the harddrives' temperatures weren't that much higher at all. I will have to try that myself.

Ok, great. Then I'll block it. A bit strange that Antec makes an obsolete feature on this otherwise great case. It is apparently difficult to make the perfect case.

Maybe I was unclear. I have the 120 mm exhaust fan but no front fan. But I don't mean that one should touch the fans. The air intake in the back I'm talking about is the one below the exhaust fan. You know the rectangular one consisting of many holes, without any fan.

Antec P150 airflow idea

Hello, I recently bought an Antec P150. It works great! I have however pondered if the airflow really is optimal in this case. What I'm thinking is: Is the air intake on the back of the case necessary? If one blocks this intake, more air would flow in through the front and cool the harddrive. And th...
