The EMH didn't have the best reviews.. I've used numerous M3A78-EM machines and they've been nothing but good to me. Fan control works perfectly fine, layout of the board is fairly good. None of the heatsinks were too warm.. I haven't run into the same problems that Mike has with regards to the M3A7...

I actually asked them a while ago and they said that they'd be having another stealth build coming up soon... worth the wait, perhaps? I'd go for the AMD system myself. Replace the Ultra-90 with a Scythe Ninja 2, & change the board to a M3A78-EM (GM-S2H has issues with the northbridge heatsink, and ...

Very similar to my setup. However, I ripped a page out of Mike's book from designing the P180. I stuck a large piece of bristle board in between the video card and my CPU heatsink. Amazingly, not only did this drop CPU temperatures, it also dropped GPU temperatures. I have one intake at the rear, on...

The NT-06 was designed specifically for the SG-01 Sugo to fit flush underneath (or near flush) the PSU's 120mm fan. It'll be fine.

Nope, get a separate enclosure and you'll be good to go.

What separates the insane (in a good way!) 'silent' pc users and the sane ones is that most of the sane ones will tolerate the noise of a 3.5'' drive, while the others will be ticked off by these noises and make the jump to a 2.5'' drive.

Blacktree I've applied the same tape to my A-05B and wow it does make a difference.

Before, if you tap the edges of the side panel they'd rattle like a drum but now it is much more solid. No more rattling, but it does need mass damping just like you said.

Thanks for the inspiration mate.

My assumption is that you have the 2500KS.

In that case, subtract about 20C from your hard drive's temperature. The 2500KS series (not aaks) suffered from a miscalibrated temperature sensor.

You can probably just put some scotch tape around the pin itself and then use a little at the bottom of the pin.

The 5000AAKS would be quieter.

The most quiet desktop drive would probably be the Barracuda IV series.

Which is what we need. I'm tired of manufacturers charging an arm and a leg for something that's SMALLER. I don't need that big of a screen, I don't need an integrated DVD ROM drive. Just give me something that runs preppy - I only need it for school.

I've had a 2500KS and a 2500AAKS.

Suffice to say, the 2500AAKS was quieter by a slight margin - this is with both on maximum AAM setting, and both are suspended.

Seek noise on AAKS vs KS are lower, as is idle whine.

Well... it really is up to the ear of the person. I wouldn't get the hush - its side panels, while damped with material, aren't very thick.

Plus, would you really trust someone like NZXT - who is know for making 'gamer' cases - to be able to properly build a quiet case?

Correct. 3mm too high.

My XP90 (at 75mm) barely squeezes in. The 78mm tall (125.4 x 78 x 148 mm) NT06 will not make it under the lip under the 120mm fan. Then there's the problem of just 1, maybe 2mm height to deal with in terms of the space underneath the support beams.
