Re: Seasonic Titanium PSUs
Hello Mackan, The PSU is now planned for the end of the year. As you have noticed, there are not so many Titanium on the market with low wattage as if you want to reach a good efficiency, quality and low wattage, it needs a lot of efforts to achieve this. If you add the fact that this PRIME is plan...

Re: Seasonic Titanium PSUs
Thanks for the reply @Seasonic Rep I do hope that it will be worth the wait. The customer demographic who buy the fanless model want utterly silent operation and I hope you have used the extra year so to achieve that. Would not want coil whine to spoil it. Hope you will send a sample to SPCR for te...

Re: Seasonic Titanium PSUs
Both my samples went back to the reseller. I don't know what they do with them. But I assume they RMA them back to you. And then I wonder what you do with them.Seasonic Rep wrote:Sorry for the trouble, then I would highly recommend that you should RMA the unit and we will test the unit again for you.

Re: Bitumen sheets, Fractal Design
Well, if you can find those bitumen backed sheets, I want them too. I have a few Fractal cases and due to cost reduction, they are all missing sound proofing in areas I would consider important, so I'd like to remedy that short coming. Excuse my absence, but I see the discussion ramped up here a bi...

Re: Seasonic Titanium PSUs
eI just got 520W fanless from seasonic (old model) and the unit is not silent. There is buzzing comming out of it (coil whine) that is louder then my Noctua DH15 (one fan only). The support guy from Seasonic I had mail correspondence with told me over mail that they were updated and should not resu...

Re: Seasonic Platinum Fanless 520W PSU
I have tried two samples of this PSU, and they both had coil whine. Tested with a separate PSU tester, as well in a computer. Tried various recommended BIOS settings. To no help. I own several other PSUs, such as SilverStone and Corsair, and they experience no coil whine. Corsair even has warranty a...

Bitumen sheets, Fractal Design
Hi,
Does anyone know where to find the material Fractal Design uses for noise dampening in their latest cases? It looks like a 2mm sheet of bitumen with some fabric on top. I've found some bitumen sheets, but not ones that have the fabric applied.
Thanks for any help!

Re: Quiet ATX Gamer, R5 Version
No: but it will be among the quietest. Do you have any favourite "silent" case yourself? Broadly speaking, no: in the middle of the night I am able to clearly perceive things like this , which is rated 12dB. But you'd better define "basically". Thanks for this reference. I too, can hear humming 2.5...

Re: Quiet ATX Gamer, R5 Version
Hello, 1) Is it safe to say that with the right components, the R5 case would be the most quiet build possible? 2) When you talk about 14dB SPL, is that basically inaudible? And 16dB SPL, barely audible? (R5 during idle, and load). I really don't have a reference point for what noise is considered r...
