Advice for a new mATX (or m-ITX? ) based system.
It's been a while since i've posted on these forums, and I figured this is the best place to hear suggestions or advice on this system I plan to build as a gift. I got this idea earlier today from when I had to fix the wireless router for my mother! However she's been using this very old and dated m...

What?! The GTX260 doesn't fit in the Solo? Well, technically it "can" fit if you cut the hard drive cage like I did. If the card was just a tiny tiny tiny bit shorter it would fit no problems. I'll take a pic or two for you so you can see it in detail :P. Edit: Excuse the hack job, and the dust (I ...

I've had the GTX 260 for about two weeks now. From my experience with the specific card I have ( link ) it's pretty much in line with the SPCR article. Upon turning on the system the fan is very noticeable however it quickly ramps down thereafter. During normal desktop use and productivity the fan s...

when i bought all the parts i was thinking of getting a second 120mm nexus to replace the tricool but i decided against it. in the future i might, but about half an hour ago i got impatient and hooked the system up on the floor in the basement here, when i turned it on i had to actually check to mak...

thanks for the replies :). yeah the ram modules were "fixed" shortly after that picture was taken lol. as for the hd suspension, yes it is the original rubber bands, i would get the new ones but to be honest i never want to deal with antec again. it took them well over a month just to get them to se...

My first build, how does it look (suggestions?)? :o
well after buying the p150 several moons ago, i finally have "everything" assembled. while i wait for an electrician to finally update some wiring i figured i might as well get some critique regarding how it turned out. i haven't turned it on yet (i have the nagging suspicion it will explode once i ...

that's cool :). i probably went overkill with putting three washers between the fan and the case (rubber/steel/rubber), seeing how zenboy mentioned he only used washers on either end of the zip tie. the only downside to this i have found is that on my p150 case, there is a removable filter that can ...

Probably a dumb question.. (about screws)
it's my first build so.. i recently bought two nexus 92mm fans to use for the front of a p150 case (that i couldn't sell). currently i've been having problems trying to find a way to get them attached. no screws came with the nexus fans, and antec didn't include any extras with the case that will wo...

sorry for bringing this back from the dead. but could use a little suggestion just in-case. if my neohe happens to dislike my setup, what would be a good alternative psu that would be able to fit in the p150? i'll probably be running something along the lines of an athlon 64 x2, and 7800gt or higher..

thanks for the reply. i've been looking at other boards. with the heat sink i plan to use (xp-120) the dfi boards seem to have a few clearance issues. i plan to get the rest of my parts online simply due to the fact, no local shops actually carry "silent" parts. besides the rare zalman, otherwise th...

thanks for the help so far. i was assuming i would have to wind up replacing the chipset heatsink :/. with me being canadian i'm finding it kind of tough tracking down the products i need/want. if i'm unable to find a suitable replacement HS, i'll look into that a8n-sli premium. although >=$200 is a...

Suggestions for my new system?
i've been a lurker on this site for quite a while now, and have really enjoyed the amount of information provided. this past week or so i started purchasing parts (as i get the money :)) to build a new system, mainly for gaming (but not quite to the extremes). mainly because to my old system is an a...
