The 65W PSU with the case should be fine for running the system you put together. I have the 2000 RPM 80mm Kama FLEX fan (was going to use it as a swap into my PSU in HTPC but it's starting voltage was too high) and it's at least as loud as an S-Flex @ 1000-1200 RPMS at 12V, so I'd highly recommend...

I have the Zotac Ion with the Intel Atom N230 in the Antec ISK 300-65 and it works great. The atom 330 is only 4 watts more than the N230. I would say that the PSU would probably be fine for your setup although there is nothing wrong with having a little headroom by getting the 90 watt power brick....

Antec ISK 300 + Zotec IonITX-D-E Build Help

This is my first time building an ITX/low power system. I'm thinking of combining the following parts, but don't know if they will be compatible: Antec ISK 300 Case (65W PSU) Zotec IonITX-D-E (Nvidia Ion w/ Atom E330 CPU) Crucial Ballistix 4GB (2 x 2GB) BL2KIT25664AA80A [might be a bit overkill?] OC...

I'm considering using the IonITX-D-E version and building it into an Antec ISK 300 case.

Anyone know when the IonITX-D-E is going to be available? Most major etailors seem to have it as either "sold out" or "pre-order".

She says she has trouble animating within photoshop, and that when she has photoshop and flash open at the same time the computer sometimes lags. If your budget allows it, then definitely an SSD for applications and the operating system. Maya especially will benefit more from a single Quadro than two GeForce cards in SLI. You didn't mention RAM, but as far as that is concerned, 6GB will be the sweet spot. These are just suggestions and if yo...

Help!! Animation Computer Configuration

I'm building a computer for my fiance, she is an animation student in college and uses Maya, Flash, and Photoshop and needs a faster system. There is around 110mm of space from the top of the chip to the roof of the case. Approximately. Allowance for any more space and things would begin to get tight. I'll check clearance tonight when I get home.

How much extra space do you think there should be between the fan and the top of the case?

I imagine if there is a limited amount of space, that could affect the amount of noise the fan creates.

The PSU is an Enermax Liberty 450w(?). The system would be almost silent if I hadn't used the Noctua fans. I am swapping them out for Slipstreams very soon. No idea on actual measured sound dB's, but it's very quiet. The Noctua's have a very distictive hum to them. If you don't need a high power se...

I am going to guess that you are using a CPU like the E-7200, which has excellent efficiency. With this CPU, your set-up should run cooler than the Intel Pentium D 950 Presler core that Lawrence and MikeC used for their review. Thanks for the advice (not just what's quoted, but all of it). Extreme performance isn't a huge deal. The NSK2480 has to 120mm fans very close to the cpu area already. Biggest reason that I want a blow-down cooler is my motherboard (ASUS P5N7A-VM) has a northbridge that runs pretty warm, and I would like to get a little extra airflow over it if possible. I was ...

I recently built an HTPC system with an NSK2480 case and want to get a different cooler for the cpu. I'm mostly worried about the height of the coo...

Power Supply Tester "PG Value"

At the computer shop in which I work, we have a power supply tester that checks the voltages of the PSUs and also reports a "PG Value".

We've searched the internet, but could not find out what exactly the PG Value is.

Can anyone help us with this problem?
