Re: Quiet Antec NSK3480 replacement

Well, I didn't want it THAT cheap. It's for my new main rig. Is there a better one? I haven't received it yet....

Re: Quiet Antec NSK3480 replacement

Basically a similar design, although one external 5.25" would be sufficient. micro-atx board, probably low-powered external video. Nothing hot, heavy for gaming.

Quiet Antec NSK3480 replacement

Is there a nice small Micro-ATX case similar to the discontinued Antec NSK3480? It seems Antec doesn't have anything in it's lineup that is just as good, so another manufacturer?

Did you ever perform this surgery? I'm in the same boat.

I'm more worried about IOS "noticing" that the speed is slower than normal and throwing errors than I am it overheating (assuming it monitors the speed).

Acer Aspire R1600 motherboard manual?

I bought a little R1600 nettop off eBay and wanted to change out the MO switch on the inside. Does anyone have the technical manual for the motherboard in this little thing, or know where I can get it?

Everything I've read by people who've actually measured says 1-2W per stick of DDR2. Thanks, that's what I needed to know. Everyone: Virtual memory is not a problem. DDR2 power consumption?

Does anyone know how many watts various DDR2 RAM modules consume? I have a PC now with a single 2GB v1.8 DDR2 module and want to keep power usage low. What would happen if I added a second module?

I built my PC using the Gigabyte GA-6KIEH-RH with an L7700 CPU. It works great.

I currently have it as a VMware ESXi 4.0 server, which supports Speedstep. At idle, it's drawing 23 watts according to my Kill-a-Watt. It goes up to 35W when maxed (cpu, no graphics really used).

Undervolting a E7500?

Can anyone give me some good voltage figures of what you used to undervolt a E7500 CPU? I'm still going to do the trial-and-error method, but I'd like to get a ballpark figure to start at. I just discovered my lovely new Gigabyte P45 motherboard has a major DPC latency issue when running their DES p...

The 4350 looked perfect because I want something less than 10 watts at idle. 5 watts would be great. It doesn't need to do anything except show 2D video.

I did ask them but I never got a clear response back. I just didn't feel like spending another $200 on another board that I was unsure about. I just returned the MSI board so the BIOS screens are fresh in my mind. They didn't have anything as you know. But the manual I linked above for the Gigabyte...

Same problem with that board. No Speedstep at all using Linux so its running full blast with a T7250. MSI basically said they don't care when responding to my support tickets. Debating replacing this with an E3300 Celeron since I also blew out my USB ports Right. I'm aware of the MSI issue, but did...

I made the mistake of buying the MSI MS-9803 "Fuzzy" GME965 board and sure enough, it doesn't support any of the mobile processor power saving features. It was running full throttle all the time sucking power and generating heat. Darn MSI BIOS - it had no options to implement those features. I want ...

I'm trying to find the TDP for the 3200 chipset but I don't know what desktop chipset it is equivalent to. I want to build a low powered server. As much as I wanted to try an nvidia card, I couldn't pass up the 8.7 watt idle power of a 4670. I just bought one of those instead. If the nvidia 9600GT used less power at idle, it would have been a good choice, but oh well.
