Power and reset are exactly the same. I wasn't aware there was a problem with them. I hardly ever use them; I just use PS2 keyboard power on.

Thanks for the replies, and thanks for the research Pigbristle. My wife decided she doesn't need a new computer yet. (My computer goes to my Wife, her's goes to my Mother and so on down the line) So I have the case now, but no computer to put in it for a while. I'm going to mod the front fan mount c...

This will be running an overclocked Q6600 and overclocked 8800GT on a P35 board. I currently have a P150 with a single Nexus 120mm on the back, but the CPU and GPU are passively watercooled externally, so the fan doesn't need to vent much heat out of the case. I like the P150, so I bought a Designer...

2 92mm to single 120mm on front of P150/SOLO/D500?

Has anyone ever modded the front swinging door on the front of the P150/SOLO/Designer 500 to hold a single 120mm fan rather than the 2 92mm fans? I will only have 2 drives in this case and would rather have a single 120mm Nexus on the front than 2 92mm fans. I have lots of time to play with the case...

I got a Designer 500 for a new build the other day and I already have a P150. I was actually a little dissappointed that the 500, other than the PSU, is exactly the same as my P150. Not that I have any issues with the P150, but I was hoping for some chassis tweaks.

The covers are just held on with tape, you can pry it off easily.

I have a Zalman on the SB and HR-05 on the NB, but I'm water cooled, so I have room over the NB for it.

I would seriously consider changing the NB and SB cooling, it isn't that good and gets smoking hot when you put heavy load on it. I have a very similar setup, with a modified older Zalman and have an HR-05 on the NB and regular Zalman cooler on the SB. It still gets hotter than I like. http://www.hi...

I don't know if this is has been talked about here, but it's definitely not new. Closing the tub of water would stop the evaporative cooling effect. If you are going to close up the tub and make a metal box, you would be better off trying to make a proper radiator rather than just a giant water heat...

Did you post a WTB thread? I think there are plenty of people who got rid of the stock Reserator pump as soon as they got the kit. I have a brand new pump just sitting here. Assuming a replacement stock pump would have been fine. So, the whole metal retainer thing that goes over the pump got eaten a...

Is there any reviews on it, because those crossflow fans are just not that queit or efficient? As an external fan, it has to be 3 times quieter (warning: made up figure) than an internal because it has no case to muffle sound. Those 2 120's will cool the system fine on their own, without tha passive...

I would forget about the booster. Ramping up the 2 120's is going to be all the cooling you will ever need when the computer is under load. Leave the passive part passive.

I used a long chisel to seperate the aluminum from the front. There's thick double sided sticky tape in there. I just jammed the chisel between and removed it slowly.

Phantom Gray P150

Usually I'm a pretty reserved system guy, but I thought I'd go a little crazy on the new Core2Duo system. Antec P150 with NeoHE E6600 (running at 3.28Ghz for now) OCZ PC2-6400 Asus P5W-DH Deluxe 7900 GT KO Zalman NB cooler on the SB Thermalright HR-05 on the NB Raptor 74GB WD 300GB Resorator 1+ Konn...

I don't think that with your requirements, you would want to watercool. A bit of overclocking and relatively quite can be done fairly easily with air cooling. If you wanted to do alot of overclocking or a quiet/passive setup I could see you doing it, but otherwise watercooling is more for people who...

You remove the pump in the reserator. It's easy to do and the instructions are in the manual.

The Mag II LE has a tach so I use that to monitor whether the pump is working or not. I did not install the flow inidicator supplied by Zalman.

Add the inlet tubing like mentioned inside the res, if you haven't done so already. I'm using an external MAG II LE pump and an added regular size Konvect-O-Matic to increase efficiancy. I just started using the MAG II LE. Thing is working very well, and though I would not call it super quiet, it is pretty quiet. I know that's subjective. It does make a kind of rattly noise, but now that I have my case all closed up it's barely audible from under the table (3 feet). It is sitting on...

If people want only 1 or 2 extra sensors, there are plenty of cheap chips out there with internal sensors. The MicroChip TC74 is only $1.39 from Mouser.com and it comes in a easy to wire TO-220 package, though it's a fairly large package. It's both the sensor and interface chip in one, so all you ne...

I have no use for it myself, but I might pick up a 1668 from Digikey and make up an Eagle layout and board for it. What about other diode sensor chips? Like the LM83 looks like it handles 3 sensors and is $6 rather than $10 at digikey.

I actually have a HR-05 sitting here waiting for the board. It's one of the options I have for the NB.

Yes, the Reserator comes with a GPU block as well as a CPU block. What I was concerned about is that the NB cooler looks like it depends on CPU fan blowing on it. In fact, they have that optional clip on fan for the cooler if you don't have a CPU fan. I would like to avoid that northbridge fan if po...

Okay, I currently have an empty P150 and a Reserator 1+ in box. I have on order: E6600 Asus P5W-DH EVGA 7900GT KO The reserator could handle this stuff adequately, but I want a little more cooling capacity without added noise, so I also ordered a: http://www.webshop-innovatek.de/images/500681_250.jp...

If you break out the soldering skills you can use an SMD transistor as a sensor as well. All your drives are in the bottom, right? The case fans are just cooling the bridges and the mosfets. I would remove the top fan and make a shroud to lower the airflow closer to the board and that bridge cooler. Otherwise you are just wasting fan power passing alot of air thru the case with no use.
