Re: Sandy Bridge, Part 2: Intel DH67BL & Asus P8H67-M EVO
I got a DH67GD (a DH67BL + FireWire + DisplayPort) in the end and the fan control is great with the latest (v110) BIOS, which is much newer than the one in the SPCR review. The controls allow setting of: - target temperatures for CPU, PCH (chipset), VRM and RAM) along with damping characteristics fo...

Re: Sandy Bridge, Part 2: Intel DH67BL & Asus P8H67-M EVO
Thank you for this review. The lack of fan control on the Asus board when using a 3-pin fan on the cpu fanheader eliminates it from my shortlist. From reading the fan, this review and searching the Internet, it looks like connecting 3-pin fans to the chassis fan header should be okay and work with ...

Re: Sandy Bridge, Part 2: Intel DH67BL & Asus P8H67-M EVO
That's a real disappointment about the fan control on the DH67BL. I had this one in mind to replace a ASUS A8N-Sli Premium that's never really been stable (doesn't reliably sleep/resume, amongst other problems), so I'm looking for something rock solid (I figured that an Intel motherboard would be be...

Re: HVAC tape in UK
I've got some of the £4.99 foil tape (with removable backing paper) from Maplins and have used it to block off vents. It's been on for a couple of months with no sign of it coming off.

nice job! Thanks. I did have a panic at first when I thought it wouldn't fit. what kind of cooler is that in front of that nexus fan? It's the stock heatsink from the video card (on a rotatable arm): http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=2&l2=6&l3=139&model=591&modelmenu=1 The current version would...

P180 with Asus N6600GT Silencer
I wasn't going to post about this as it's a standard SPCR build. However, the video card is a tight fit so it might be useful for someone to know that it does work okay. It was built to replace a computer used as a workstation and server (for Slim Devices SlimServer, web server, FTP server, SSH serv...
