Thanks guys. MikeC ever had these with you. http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/products/fans/blue-led-12cm-case-fan-with-vr.html I need some nice quite high CFM led fans for a radiator. Almost double the price of the Asus but at least I think I won't be disappointed with them. You mentioned that you should...

Asus 120mm fans

This is the only place I will use for advice on fans. Because of my location it is difficult to find good fans. Now I can get this fan with excellent ratings (although I don't believe them). http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=X0jMnP7veuzMLrnN&templete=2 Anybody using them? Anyone knows what rebra...

Accelero S1

What about the good old Accelero S1. I had an HD3870 with one of these in my LC16. I mostly ran it with out a fan but you can still fit a 80MM fan. If you bend it to go over you card rather than away (like mine) you can perhaps even fit a 92mm fan for extra cooling (depending on slot space) I can e-...

Yes, I did not mean ppl should tempt fate, but just indicate that ppl should not necessarily be scared to change coolers on cards. I was one until I took the plunge and started changing the coolers

Don't laugh, I'm a bit of a scater brain. I can though confirm the following: 1. If you run your CPU without a cooler it will shut down very quickly if you bios is set correctly. (Been there, done that) 2. If you run your HD3870 without cooling it will shut down very quickly as well (Been there, don...

Then I went to AC's homepage I noticed that they had posted some information on how to improve the compatibility of the sink. This stated that the bottom RAM sink had to be moved upwards a bit to clear the pipe, which pretty much leaves the RAM bare, with only the hot-as-hell heatpipe over it to "c...

I did end up removing a mm or so from a few fins on the bottom ram heatsink, so that it didn't touch one of the heatpipes. What you can also do is to put pressure with your thumb on the bottom heat pipe and bend it slightly inwards towards the cooler and away from the card. It worked well for me an...

HR-01 Plus with S-Clip (AM2)

I would like to find out from users of the HR-01 Plus on Socket AM2 motherboard?

Is it working well and is sturdy?
Do you also have to buy the AM2 RM (Rev B)?

Which fan? Limited choice

First of this is a great site and have bought a lot of stuff based on this site. Now my problem is i'm in South Africa and I need to get at least 1x120mm or 2x92mm fans. The only choices I have is the above fans.

Please help me decide IF you have any experience with them.

Hot day in London

I think I'll give it a bash and put a middle fan in my P182 for some additional airflow. Anybody overclocking their cards?

HD4850 with Accelero S1

I have two of these cards in a P182 case. I want to remove the stock coolers and add the two Accelero S1's to the cards. I can't fit fans on the cards so my options is as follows: 1. Leave them passively cooled (it worked on my HD3870) 2. Add a middle fan in the P182 3. Bent the Accelero S1's and ad...

Don't know whether I'll be able to find one so small.

Heat and cables

I am building a HTPC for me. The case I'm using is the Silverstone LC16M and a standard ATX motherboard. The motherboard is about 1mm from the edge of the power supply, with the USB connections right on the edge of the motherboard. The power supply I use is the Silverstone ST30-NF. The one thing tha...
