the drive will be mounted with 2 wide strips of metal, which will hopefully transfer the heat. I plan to use steel, but i can also use aluminum or copper alloys. thermal tape is also an option, but i'll resort to that if theres no other choice.

Heres the jpeg captures of the assembly. Theres another sound blocking insert intended. i removed it to show the ribs. Everything's gotta be glued with exception to the purple lid. That's where the optical drive opens. When it closes, it should more or less seal. Acoustic foam intended to go between...
