Sweet video, but I'd like to see the temps on the GPU and the CPU after 30 minutes :D . Also, the airflow seems confined to the GPU, there's not a lot of fog going over the CPU.

FT02 and passive cooling

Excellent review, I'm on the market to replace my old Sonata II (plastic front door broke a few months back) and this case might just do the trick. I was using a Reserator 2 to cool my CPU and GPU, but my pump is toast and I'm tired of plugging/unplugging it when I need to move my case around, so I ...

So with a 600W PSU you will still have 200W "spare" for hard drives, mobo, VRM inefficiencies, etc. This seems about right. That's why I'm looking for a PS that can give me ~600W. I don't want to be ungrateful or mean or anything, but I simply wanted to know if any of you had tried the (new) toughp...

Re: 700 W Toughpower is not at all the same as the 550W

How much is a 4-core, 2 cpus, quad high-end GPU system going to cost? Answer: a bloody fortune, at least for the next generation or two (of GPUs). I beg to differ. We often forget how quickly things are evolving for computers. Quad-SLI is already here, only driver support is missing: http://www.nvi...

Re: 700 W Toughpower is not at all the same as the 550W

Of course, this is all probably moot, as a system that requires a 700 watt power supply is not likely to be quiet anyway. I'm not trying to achieve a perfectly quiet computer, else I would have waited for the 1W future Conroe (it's not a typo, we're really talking about 1W!) and my passively cooled...

http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewtopic.php?t=31928 Well this poste seems to resume quite well all the arguments against Tt: 1.) ripping off other company's work 2.) false specs 3.) quality is 2nd grade, flimsy Al, cheap plastic etc. 4.) prices are on par with real good quality products. 5.) too...

Re: 700 W Toughpower is not at all the same as the 550W

In the 600W plus Toughpower series vibration noise and fan noise have both been decreased, so don't let the 550 results scare you away. That's why I'm asking for a review or at least for someone who has bought one of those. I know the 550W results where not very convincing, but they seem to have pu...

Re: Anyone had the chance to try the new ToughPower 600-750W

Just be sure to get the sleeved version to get the extra connectors. Is there a different model number for the sleeved version? I'm buying over the Internet, and I can't see the unit before I receive it. If you are willing to wait It'll be 3-6 months before the choice will become clear again in the...

So you may actually be better off with a PSU with one big 12V rail than one with several current-limited 12V rails. I totally understand that 1 rail would be better than 2 or 4. But the S12 comes with 2x12V, and from my understanding, 1 > 4 > 2. So since most modern high-powered power supplies come...

Re: Anyone had the chance to try the new ToughPower 600-750W

Read this thoroughly: Power Supply Fundamentals & Recommendations And I do mean thoroughly. Also I have to add that, all PSUs tested by SPCR have much lower efficiency than when tested on other review sites. This can be attributed to the different AC voltage used and errors in loading and efficienc...

Anyone had the chance to try the new ToughPower 600-750W?

Hi, sorry if this had been discussed before, I'm rather new to this web site. My Radeon 9700pro exploded last week and gave me a perfectly valid reason to build a new rig (hurray for exploding ATI cards!) :D My current computer is way too noisy and I'm looking to keep the volume down this time. I've...
