Thx for the input - I'll go for the single 500 GB WD drive... My accountant (=wife) agrees with you, that 1 is more than enough... :lol:

Why would you want to put the OS on a separate, additional, relatively slow notebook drive anyway? If you're going to install a large-capacity 3.5" drive in any case, an additional drive will only add more noise regardless of how quiet it is individually. Yes.. Looks like WD is the way to go...

Can't kick the idea of seperating the OS and the music/video on two seperate drives, though...

Hmm - a momentus 160 gb for OS and WD for storing movies/music??
