Thanks =) It's hard to walk away from the P150 / Solo - it's just so wonderfully designed.

Re: DAW - Sandy Bridge i7 2600K - in a new Antec P-150!

Nice - I'm thinking about doing something similar except w/ a tad more ram and hoping to fit a gtx 570 as the vid card - I know I sacrifice a bit of noise, but what do you think of the cooling/air flow - think it'll be able to handle it?

Re: SOLO-like case that is not SOLO?

Not to hijack the thread, and I think this would actually benefit OP, but does the Solo/P150 not fit the GTX 570? Or is it an airflow issue? I have the P150, love it - but the system is definitely showing its age and I want to do a full revamp in the next coming months. Currently: q6600 Ninja Scythe...

I just got a BFG 8800GT

First time modding a graphics card

Could someone point me in the direction of a link as to how to remove the stock fan safely/intact?

Also are people getting better results w/ a 120mm yate loon or the turbo module (noise and temp drops)

Thanks!

Hi all - I seem to have found my answer - apparently TAT is no good at tracking C2D heat

Speed Fan gives me readings of:

Low 30's Idle
Low 40's Stressed

This is OC'd to 2.5gHz

I have a similiar question... Any help would be great: Case : Antec P150 CPU : e4300 Stock (1.8gHz - goal of OC'ing to around 3.0gHz @ stock volt) Cooling : Scythe Ninja (Rev A) + Arctic Silver 5 + Yate Loon 120mm on Ninja and one on exhaust. MB : Gigabyte 965p-ds3 Rev 1.3 Ambient Temp : 24 C On TAT...

I've also emailed.

I emailed the general email and some email that's for a marketing guy and like the above post - no response.

Seriously - what the heck.

I'm beginning to regret buying the 7600gt w/ the intention of modding it.

I'm thinking of getting a HR-03... As the S2 isn't going to be available here for at least a couple more months :(
Where is "here"

And where'd you get the ETA info?

I really don't want to be a pest...

I'm assuming no one knows when the release date is for the S2?

or if it's even available retail? Oh well... I guess I'll go for thermalright HR-03? Twice as expensive though... sigh

Bear in mind, even if the card itself is relatively quiet, this thing is gonna heat up your entire case very very easily

If you don't trust the setup,

You could always buy an eVGA 7600gt for around 100, then slap an S2 on it which would come out to be around the same price with proven results...

Anybody ever quiet a laptop before? - Specifically Sony S360

Topic says it all. I really want to, b/c this thing is notoriously loud b/c of the dumb bios. It's set to where the fan turns on at 55C and turns off at 54C (from what I've read at least). I've undervolted this thing, running at 1.1V for 1.7ghz, but still... loud loud loud. Maybe if I changed the fa...
