Re: NVidia GPU always runs full speed when using multi scree

Any progress on this? I just setup a 2nd monitor and the airflow coming out of my case is considerably hotter...

Seasonic X-750 I'm sorry, but I don't think you were measuring idle correctly...Antec NEO ECO 520W His Seasonic is an 80+ Gold, right? So this would mean he's drawing less power from the wall than an 80+ vanilla. That might be the reason for lower power consumption. Also, neither of you listed your...

I followed Ace-a-Rue's option of velcro on the base. The scissors top plate stays centered on it pretty well and it's more secure than the dime was.

Like others, I had to lap mine as I could feel the ridges. :(

The noise from my Stacker's 4in1 bay and 2 raptors have finally driven me to mod it. At first I thought about drilling some holes and using the mesh sleeve one would put on a naked PSU cable. Then I went to Fry's and noticed the P150's new cord (my bro has the old version). He then deviously devised...

If they put the bottom HDD fan in FRONT of the drives, we'd see a 10C drop in temps. :(

I love mine. Quiet, no whine, no noise, doesn't get hot, and looks great thanks to mod cables. Powers the rig in sig quite nicely. Here's a screenie.

Mod edit: Please keep images smaller than 800 pixels wide.

I'm currently in a Stacker 810 w/ window. It's nice and big, but my hdd's and cdd's make me cry sometimes. :( Not to mention how nice my older p180b just kinda blended into the background.

Noise: I can't hear it over my 5 Scythe SFLEX E (49CFM, 21DB) 120's and it's MUCH quieter than my previous X19 Jet Engine. I'd say it's close to Accelero levels on auto (59% fan power for me). Even when you jack up the fan, the noise doesn't produce that old annoying whine from the X19's sonic blast...

What did pc probe say for MB temp? I've got 38C on mine after cleaning the goo.

It's still very hot to the touch tho. I've a Jing Ting, but I'm not sure if it'll fit w/ the Tuniq. I think a TRight 05 or 05 sli would do it tho.

I'm about to switch from my Zalman 9500 to the Ninja + Sycthe E Fan tonight. The only issue I may run into's the pad between the mobo and backplate. I had to scrape it off my last board, so it's in shambles. I've tried using the padding that comes with mobos, but it eventually compresses. I noticed ...

Thanks guys! I started with 400, then 800, 1500, and finally 2000 grit 3M wet/dry from Wal-Mart. Did it all dry thist time. Much faster. Temps have decreased 2C idle and 5C load. It would be more, but I used the dot method of TIM application. I'll be doing the smooth method with a baggy and use AS5 ...
