Re: Most reliable 2TB drive...
Recently bought 4 Seagate 2TB drives ST2000DL003 via two orders and 2 out of 4 where DOA (one for each order). Newegg users report way too many DOAs http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=22-148-681&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=&VideoOnlyMark=False&Vend...

Can anyone help us develop a similar function? I may be able to help you w...

RAID is not for backup, it is just for availability. If you want to be safe, just reschedule your NAS backup more frequently, or have a continuous backup from your pc to your NAS (many nas systems offer some kind of continuous backup or you can use third party software). What I would really invest t...

Pay attention to the fact that the output of the picoUPS is not regulated. It is clearly stated on the picoUPS page of a reliable Italian online shop specialized in Mini-itx stuff, that you must use it with M1-ATX, M2-ATX, M3-ATX or picoPSU 6-24V, but not with picoPSU 120W. http://www.mini-itx.it/co...

If they are the same shipped with cooler master cases (stacker or elite) they are good at 5V I'm using five of them among my computers both in vertical and horizontal position. Most UPSs need grounding
Hi,
most of the UPSs I've seen require proper grounding, so check before buying one.
I think an EMI filter or two could be enough for your needs.
BTW if you manage to obtain proper grounding from the landlord do yourself a favour and buy a UPS

SSD performance difference in relation to disk occupation
Hi, I think this is an import thing to share: a "factory clean" SSD is much faster than a disk where data has been written to!! in this Italian review http://www.hwupgrade.it/articoli/storage/2044/intel-x-25m-ssd-in-test-con-molte-sorprese_10.html you can see the graphs of the different reading and ...

Aluminum still dissipates the heat faster to the surrounding air , which is one reason the whole cooler isn't made of copper. Sorry...
