Hey, I'm afraid I can't help you with the Ninja-choise. But I do know that the S1 is SLI-compatible. That's nice  And take a look at the review of www.xbitlabs.com they tested the 8800GT for wattage. I believe it lay arround 90 Watts. Ofcourse yours is overclocked and may be a bit more power-co...

Obviously that's a good Idea for this one.. But serious won't you be stupid if you used the Cu-version with a fan?...

I agree Das Saunamies (where did you get that name from anyway?). I'm getting no problems or anoying noises from my S12-430 for years now. It's actually that quiet that my ~180W-rig is virtually inaudible (because the rest of the noctua-fans are undervolted to 5v). So the changes are quite big that ...

George van Kralingen, Dont mess up the good image of the dutchman! Cooler"master" is a company that only builds so-so-qualityproducts (this is a copy-paste- cheaper of the XP120). Example: I've seen and felt the Stacker 830 and while that's a "high-end case" it was not that well finished, to rough a...

One-laptop per animal?

Hi folks, After all the news about the "make the world a better place"-thing, I thought many times...yes I do. In points: 1 - Why make the world a better place, then we are social animals. But in the end our basic instincts take over to take care of ourselfs. 2 - Why give the children better educati...

Hi,

i've got an X2-4400+ 939 65W. My system, 2 GB, 1 SATA-drive, 2 fans runs on a calculated 65 idle and 140 load.

These number are max.

My PSU is a Seasonic S12-430 (very good sample!) which is obviously overkill.

Hi I've got one myself... I use an NV Silencer from Arctic Cooling on it at 5 volt, very important! 12v is far to loud! Cools reasonable for a very hot chip: 88 degrees max, summer, Rthdrltdbl (or something like that). According to a test earlier on SPCR, the noise it makes is ~19 dBA at 5v. That wa...

It's best to have the Scythe's FDB-bearing horizontally. They float in any direction over the fan's frame. No mechanical wear measureable. Sleeve-bearings are not built in ANY way for horizontal mounting. They will abrade over the entire area (the hubs made of) which causes them to make grinding and...

10 min. heating by a (almost only) convection-cooled CPU seems a bit (read: FAR TOO) short.
A minumum of 1 hour to stabilize is neccesary, if it was only to settle a stable
temperature for all components of your system.

I bet it's going higher than 70...
