Well, I've contacted Seasonic to ask for an RMA. I suppose this could take a while and I don't want to be without a PC for 2 weeks or more, plus I'm not too trusting of this particular model of PSU now that one's died on me so I think I might buy a new one anyway. Would the psu linked above be serio...

Overloaded my Seasonic S12?
Yesterday I was playing a game on my pc when it restarted without warning. After this it would not boot into windows, restarting at some point during the boot every time. I tried running memtest and found the pc would reboot (without showing errors) within a few minutes every time. After removing th...

Reccomend me a new drive for my laptop
I have recently purchased an n410c laptop and the hard drive
(toshiba mk3021gas) is very loud, especially when seeking. What would be a good drive to replace it with? I'm looking for something 20GB or greater, IDE and fairly cheap. Speed isn't really an issue as the laptop isn't mega fast anyway.

Silencing my hard drive
I recently bought a fujitsu mvh2040bh 2.5" 5400rpm 40gb sata hard drive for a quiet pc I'm building. At first I tried suspening it but i could still hear it. The drive came very well packaged, and I'm wondering if i could use the foam it came in (dark grey slabs of the stuff) to house the hard drive...

Hi, im trying to get cool n quiet working on my pc.
I have an AM2 sempron 2800+ on an MSI K9NGM-L motherboard. CnQ is enabled in the bios, I've installed the AMD processor driver and power management is set ti "minimal".
Any ideas?

Well I ran that program and if it found any errors it's not telling me. I enabled AAM with it, doesnt seem to make any difference. The knocking sound seems to come at the beginning of a seek, just before the (very quiet) 'scratchy sound'. My friend says maybe its the read heads engaging or something...

Upgrade to ultra 120 extreme?
I currently have a scythe ninja w/a nexus 120mm @1000rpm cooling an e6400 @ 3.1Ghz, max load temp is 59C in coretemp. I'd like to push the cpu further but i dont want it going over 60C. Would an ultra 120 extreme (with the same fan as im using on the ninja) give better results than my current setup?...

Heatsink question.
I currently have 2 PCs. 1 is a high powered gaming rig (3ghz c2d, 8800gts), with the cpu cooled my a sythe ninja. This pc uses the included sythe fan on the ninja, running at ~850rpm (according to my sythe fan controller) and front and rear nexus fans also running at ~850 rpm (this is the lowest spe...
