To be able to answer this question properly we would need to know your current system specifcations (to get an idea of current power draw) and also your current temperatures. OK. My system is: Antec Solo w. 120 mm and 92 mm fan. Corsair 520W Asus P5B Deluxe Intel E6600 at 2.5 GHz (w. Scythe Infinit...

Will a passive 8800GT cause my Corsair 520W to ramp up?
I'm considering whether it's time to buy a new graphics card, leaning towards getting a passive 8800GT 512 mb. Currently I'm using an Antec Solo case with two slow fans (92 and 120 mm), which provide relatively little airflow. I'm wondering, therefore, if a passive 8800GT would raise the case temper...

I have an X-fi in my Solo case, and it's a shame you can't connect the card to the front ports. Is it difficult to make a custom connector? I'm not very experienced. Does someone have any instructions, perhaps? Or, even better, is there somewhere one can order the custom connector? (I 'm aware you c...

Redzo, that's quite an insult. And just to take the other stance, let me reply that on the contrary, religion is rather something one should be thankful for in many respects. Beliveing that there is a God that holds us accountable for our actions is what holds believers back from living as selfishly...

Thanks for the link. So, according to the SPCR tests, there should be a 1dB difference at idle (Seasonic slightly better than Corsair). Too bad I don't have access to a computer where I can compare the sound recordings right now. Can someone comment on whether that 1dB would be noticable in a system...

Which psu - Seasonic S12 550+ or Corsair HX 520W?
I'm building a new computer and need some advice on what psu I should get. Is there a noticable difference in noise-level between the above mentioned psu's? I'd say that noise-level is the most important aspect in this matter, but feel free to comment on other aspects as well. (Modular cables, for e...

Jeez! Come on you guys, you know you want to make it look nice! 50¢ worth of rubber C-channel and it'll look spiffy, and be safer. Go for it, you know you want to! :) Yep, I really do. So here comes a silly question. Where do I buy some rubber C-channel? Maybe I should ask what it's typically used...

My old system maxed out at 327W, the new one maxes out at 230W, both measured at the wall. A P500 has lots of headroom. So a 430W PSU wouldn't be a problem then? I'm considering buying almost the same system, but I was thinking of getting a Seasonic 430W instead (and an Antec Solo). It'd be good to...
