Thanks for the suggestion but the Zalman FB123 won't work in this case. The video card has a heat pipe system that would be in the way of the arm holding the fan. I also don't want to alter the card in any way. I did a little experiment and placed the Scythe fan directly on top of the heat pipes and...

Hi Neil, I have an Antec Neo HE 550 for a power supply and it does have a fan exhausting. My case, the Antec Solo, has a 120mm fan on the back that is also being used for exhaust, so I think I'm good there. I should also note that other temps inside the case are fine, just the video card that is hot...

Minimum CFM to cool efficiently? Need help.
I have an Antec Solo case with a single Scythe 3610KL-04W-B19-FB1 92mm Case Fan for intake. The specs are 24.7CFM @ 1400rpm / 18dBA. The fan is very quiet but doesn't seem to be pushing a lot of air. I tried to feel what was getting to my passively cooled video card and could detect very little at t...

I think I have the XFX card you are talking about and it does get rather toasty while gaming. The way the fins are aligned (top to bottom instead of side to side) makes it difficult to cool with just intake fans. Well, at least with the quiet one I have. I will probably wind up either suspending a f...

I have read this review. It was, in part, why I became interested in the P150 in the first place. Are you the writer of it? If so, did you speak with Antec yourself or are you referencing some other report? I just find it very odd that this correction hasn't showed up in the mainstream marketplace. ...

Every P150 and Solo case I have come into contact with has had the flimsy power button. It presses in ok but it feels very cheap and if you tap it, it feels like it is very loose. I looked at the mechanism from inside the case and it is indeed very cheesy. The only reason I can come up with as to wh...

Well, the P150 I had was from the local Fry's so I figure they are high volume. I know for sure that they have sold out of the P150 several times since June when it was alleged that the rubber suspension would be swapped for the bungee ones. A thought occurs to me that this changeover is just a rumo...

Antec P150 still has rubber band suspension?
I woke up this morning like a kid at Christmas. My thoroughly researched parts finally arrived a couple days ago and I was ready to build my new machine! Boy, was I disappointed when I opened the very first box (the P150). The side panel wasn't perfectly straight but I figured I could live with it b...

Quiet videocard advice needed... 7950GT?
Hello all. I am building a new C2D PC in a Antec P150. I really want to try and make this PC as quiet as possible. The one thing that stands out in my current PC are the fans, especially the video card fan. So, I was thinking about getting an XFX 7950GT (fanless, heat-pipe) video card for the new ri...

HDs for P150: Seagate, Samsung or WD?
I am finalizing parts for my new build and thought I was all set when I started hearing some negative comments about the Seagate 7200.10. I have always loved Seagate drives and trust them more than other manufacturers. But from what I understand the 7200.10 seeks are rather noisy. SPCR reviews say t...

Point 1: Not true -- the drives are on the bottom in those pictures because that's how the person wanted them. There are three "cages" with up to 3 drives &/or 120mm fan each, and you can configure them as you want. As you can see in any mfr photo's of it, the "normal" configuration puts the fans o...

Well, as long as you are asking... I don't really particularly like this case. I saw it on display at Fry's last weekend and my initial reaction was "why?". Why is it that there are so many silly cases out there? Why is Antec getting involved? I like for my PC to look like a computer, not an air con...

Thanks for the responses and thanks for the welcome, dfrost! I think I recall that I had 2 HDs in that P150 case and they were installed in the sleds (didn't trust the cords). The drives are Samsung Spinpoint 160GB and a Seagate 7200.8 300GB. I guess I can look out for this when I get the new P150 o...

Antec P150 / Solo Questions
Hello. During this past summer I bought a P150 and got a great deal on it. I really liked the idea of a white (dare I say Mac-like) case after years with my trusty aluminum Lian-Li cases. Anyway, I wound up returning the P150 because, although relatively quiet to my Lian-Li there was an annoying, oc...
