Re: Quiet Case That Will Fit a GTX680?

Do you really need the GTX 680 and it's $450 price tag? If you tell us your likely apps/games and screen resolution, we can help with an optimal build. Sure, no problem. I am sure it is overkill, but it would be good to know my case can fit the card if I decide to get silly. This will be ...

Quiet Case That Will Fit a GTX680?

Spec'ing up a new PC build, and may be able to swing a GTX680 financially, even though it may be overkill. The specific GTX680 I am looking at (MSI brand) is 11.02" long according to Newegg. So need to figure out which "quiet" case can fit a video card this long. Here are the cases I have been think...

Which ASUS Z77 Mobos Have Fan Xpert 2?

I'm liking the Fan Xpert 2 fan controls on some of the Z77 ASUS mobos, but can't really tell which ASUS Z77 mobos have this feature. Does anyone have this list they could share?

Thanks.

Megahalems Rev C, Noctua NH-D14, or Other for Socket 1155?

Looking for a competent, quiet air cooler for either a 3570K or 3770K CPU paired with an ASUS P8Z77 mobo that has Fan Xpert 2. Still need to research clearance with RAM and nearby mobo components as well. Budget is anything under $110, which would need to include the swapping out of any fans needed ...

Re: Is there a safe bet Z77 board?

Anyone have any experience with the Asus Sabertooth Z77 board? Are the small "assist" fans too noisy to be worthy here? Trying to spec up a 3770K build and can't figure out which Asus Z77 mobo to go with. They're not worth it in the first place. They're there to compensate for the shortcomin...

Corsair Obsidian 550D Case - No Love Here?

Anyone have an opinion on this case? I am spec'ing a 3770K build and was thinking this might be a good low-noise case but not sure. Looking for thoughts. Was thinking of using a Corsair H100 cooler...

Thanks. Just placed my order for an Asus P5G41T-M/CSM micro ATX motherboard, Crucial Ballistix DDR3 RAM (2 x 2GB sticks), and a Corsair HX650 power supply. Should hole me over until I can spec and build a new PC in a few months.

Micro ATX Mobo Fit On P182 Mobo Tray?

As the topic suggests, I'm looking for confirmation if a micro ATX mobo will fit onto the mobo tray of the P182 case. My LGA775 mobo (Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R) took a dump and I'd like to just replace it as opposed to building an entire new system. At least for now. ;)

Thanks in advance.

P182 Case - Motherboard Question

Not sure if this is the right forum to post this in, but can anyone tell me if a micro ATX mobo will fit onto the P182's mobo tray? My LGA775 mobo (Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R) took a dump and there are not many options for standard ATX LGA775 mobos. I'd like to simply replace the mobo and move on down the...

PC is up and running. Overclocked to 3.2 GHz and fully stable for 24 hours running Orthos. I have my Vcore set to 1.250V in the BIOS (CPU-Z reports 1.200V at idle), and my RAM voltage set to +0.2V in the BIOS. All other voltages are left at the "Normal" setting. What programs are you guys using to monitor your temps? For those of you with the E6750 or any Exx50 CPU, I believe the Tjunction is 100 degrees C, not the 85 degrees C that SpeedFan or Core Temp 0.95 report. Therefore, for those two programs, you would need to add 15 degrees C to the temps for accu...

Proper GPU Temps For Gigabyte Fanless 7600GS?

In my P182 case my fanless Gigabyte 7600GS, at stock speeds, hovers around 54 degrees C at idle. What is the "safe" thermal range at the upper end for this card? It is fanless, so I am relying on case airflow for cooling. The stock core clock values for this 7600GS are as follows: 2D Core Clock= 450...

Correct Core Tjunction for E6750?

Is it 85 degrees C, or 100 degrees C? I ask because the 0.95 version of Core Temp, as well as SpeedFan, TAT, and Everest all seem to report core temps based on an 85 degree C Tjunction. HOWEVER, the beta 0.95.4 version of Core Temp reports the Tjunction to be 100 degrees C, and hence reports my core...

Okay, now I am totally confused. I downladed and ran the beta version of Core Temp (0.95.4) and it shows the Tjunction to be 100 degrees C, whereas the 0.95 non-beta version of Core Temp shows a Tjunction of 85 degrees C. Due to this change, the beta version of Core Temp now reports my core temps 15...
