The only catch is the colors which won't match any case, one would think at least standard black would be available by now  Yeah, I have 3 S12-800s in my P180B that are thankfully not visible when the case is closed. Anyway, thanks for your review-in-a-nutshell, it's good to know the little br...

crossposting (viewtopic.php?t=36265) is usually not very expedient. instead of asking the same question over and over again, you might want to think why there were no satisfactory answers yet.

These people are talking out of their **** , excuse my french. Your proposed setup would not break 200W even at full load. I hear a lot of people talk about future-proofing, but it's very likely when you upgrade your graphics card you will upgrade other things also, including PSU. Future-proofing i...

The only significant comment I can make is that socket AM2 Athlons needs DDR2 800 RAM to keep pace with socket 939 Athlons of the same model using DDR 400 RAM. I believe it was Anandtech.com who wrote that article. Using DDR2 667 RAM will probably lower overall performance by 5%. Of course you can ...

You are getting good components, it seems, but to choke such an expensive system with so little memory is a crime. I usually run 2-3GB memory on my MySQL servers (older dual Xeons). Then again, I have some big databases. Also, if you are running RAID 5, you should buy an extra drive for a spare. Th...

Quiet fileserver planned
Hi everyone, I'm currently thinking up a plan to store my DVD collection on a central fileserver instead of those four external 500GB HDDs it's distributed on now. This server will also function as a Mail- and MySQL-server and possibly more in the future. It will have to be reasonably quiet, as I ha...
