seraphyn.........

I have run it that way on my old P180, for a couple of years now. I want my hard drives ( 3 of them in the lower unit ), to be as cool as they possibly can be. That is more important to me, than the little noise that might get through the front filter and the door.

P182 Lower Chamber Question

Hi Guys, In a P180 case that i have, i put a fan infront of the lower hd housing. To do this, i had to butcher the area infront of the lower hd housing, and i never really liked the way the fan fit in there ( a little too tight ). So now i am building a new system, and have ordered a P182. Again, i ...

By the way, i tried taping the holes around the PSU, but found that my hard drives ( 3 of them in the lower cage ), ended up actually about 1 to 2 C cooler with the tape off ( not what other people have found on their systems ). This is recommended only if you use a PSU (fan-cooled) with no other f...

chaohuei........ I am going to be building my son a system in the not too distant future. After looking at all the P35 boards, and then reading the reviews, we have settled on the Abit P35 Pro, for a couple of reasons. The reviews on it have been good, but then so have they on the other P35 boards. ...

I first used cardboard, and made it so that the cardboard ran from the front of the computer, to the back, and also made it so that it touched the motherboard, and came out flush with th...

One thing i don't see much of here on SPCR, is people buying a second hard drive, strictly for making a weekly mirror image of their boot drive. It's great to see all the latest PSU's, and video cards, etc etc.... yet no one seems to be putting in a second drive as protection, incase your boot drive...

Hi guys, Many thanks for clarifying the part about which way the fan blows the air. I should have known that in no way would you guys be telling people to buy this fan or that fan, IF they were blowing into the case. That problem is solved :) NeilBlanchard.... Thank you for the welcome :) I see your...

EsaT....

Unless the posts on SPCR are wrong, or i am reading them wrong, they say that the big fan blows "down" onto the CPU heatsink. Which means that the fan is sucking the air in from the back, through the PSU, and into the case. If that is infact correct, i cannot use that in a P182.

mtheuma.... I wonder if you tried having the top fan blow down onto the heatsink/fan combo ? I believe ...

SockToy.... You might want to consider moving the optical drive down to the 4th 5 1/4 bay. That would leave your top 3 bays open, and then you could stick a Kama Bay into it.
