I've been using Noctua fans for years.
They are fantastic.

the intel x25-v is on sale this week on ncix. im very tempted to buy it. I recently went from XP to Win 7 and the Intel 160GB SSD. Love it! The 160 formats to 148. With Win7 and my programs I have 109 of 148GB free. I would say a 60-80GB SSD is the minimum way to go. Go for Win7 and the largest SSD...

Hmmm. I've done some exploring and $700 sounds like a high compromise budget. I'll agree with ces, make a SSD the first choice. It truly is worth the cost. OCZ, Corsair or Kingston in the 60-64 GB range. Here's one example..... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820139132 I don't ...

I've just upgraded to an Intel 160GB SSD combined with a Caviar Green 1TB drive. I'm happy with the combo. While 40 is doable, I'll agree that 60-80GB for a SSD is a better minimum. From what I've seen, 99% of the people who get a SSD boot drive says it's worth the money. 60-80GB drives also look to...

Are you sure you need 160GB? A 40GB or 80GB SSD seems more reasonable to me, I don't know about jtcb,.....I did very seriously consider the 40Gb version. At one point in my preparations, I did buy the 80GB version.....ended up with two of them in fact, I could say I ended up saving money by trading...

I've bought the 160GB Intel SSD and the 1TB Green model you're looking at is the one that seems to be the best pairing choice for me as well. Almost bought it on the way home from work today. If anyone wants to chime in with advice on partitions.....?? This 1TB has the new "advanced format". ...

Hmmm. In the end you have to make the cost/benefit decision that you are prepared to live with. You're the one who will be sitting next to it for a few years. I did forget to mention eBay, plus there's Amazon. Does Antec release info on how popular various models are? The Solo must be in the top 3. One thing I would like to see from Antec is an updated Solo. I have the P150 so I would like a white option. 8) Along with black, also offer a window option. PSU on the bottom. Add USB 3.0 Option for either 120...

As I said a few minutes ago in another thread. I love my P150! I've had it for a year now. I can see staying with the Solo/Sonata Designer line for a long time precisely because I haven't seen anything better (or even close) come along, Antec included. If Solo etc. ends up being the best case that w...

The Solo and P150 are the same. (oh, the P150 came with an Antec power supply which I replaced with a Corsair) I picked the P150 last year because I liked the white better. I've discovered this month it seems the P150 has been renamed as the Sonata Designer. (with a choice of face plates, hmmm) The ...

Symptoms: Patient is noisy. Seagate is humming like nuts. Tricools are noisy. I am not generating much heat,....... ......I just like it to be dead quiet. Last fall I was researching components for a new system. My main case contenders were the Antec 160, 150 and 180.
