8.04 and 8.10 have worked well with both integrated Ati graphics and X1800 GTO which replcaed 6800 GT I had. I have had no problems with either brand. nVidia being Linux friendly is soon a myth, thanks to nVidia closed drivers vs. Ati open community drivers for linux. In that case the ECS A780GM-A ...

Hey, that old build is MY computer, she can't have that.

edit: Hum, I like AMD, but it looks like the 780G chipset was built for ATI integrated graphics, so either way I may need to go with a video card.

Linux build for daughter

I am looking for a good motherboard (with onboard video) or motherboard/video card combo for an EdUbuntu build for my daughter, so it doesn't need to be a screamer. I already have an Antec Sonata Designer 500 case so I am can use either ATX or mAtx and would like to keep the price down, but want rel...

Why such an old board? M2N-VM/DVI is out too, and it's based on the newer nForce 7050PV chipset.
I usually start looking based on reviews and verified linux support, but I will consider that one also.

Linux AM2 mAtx motherboard selection.

Which low cost, integrated video mAtx motherboard for Ubuntu linux?

ASUS M2NPV-VM
Most expensive option.

Gigabyte GA-MA69VM-S2
ATI is not as well supported as nvidia in Linux.

PC Chips PC CHIPS A13G+
No user review stating that it works with linux, but based on chipset it should work.

How much is enough and how to judge that before ordering? I'm trying to find the best L775 motherboard for use with a Ninja and quite possibly an HR-03 would have to fit as well, so space is needed on both sides of the CPU socket (and the chipset heatsink can't be too tall either). For the ninja yo...

What motherboard is in your Antec NSK-3480/3300?

Looking to build on the Antec NSK-3480 and looking for a passive, inexpensive motherboard. I prefer AMD, but any processor new or old will be sufficient.

Thanks,

While the layout is the same, the p150 has a steardier construction (1mm steel vs 0.8) and the capability of suspending your hdd`s without modification. The nsk4480 is still a perfectly decent case but given your history I would recommend the p150 :) Yep, looks like it will be the P150 (Sonata Desi...

Scythe Ninja Installation - too close?

I am installing the Scythe Ninja Revision B on the ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard. There is only a couple mm clearance between the copper pipe on the Ninja and one of the capacitors (? small cylindrical thing). Does anyone know if this will cause a problem?

Thanks
