Yeh I mean lengthways. The S2 only has 2 heatpipes, but it is advertised as compatible with the 9600gt which I think is the same fitting as all the 8800/9800/250 cards?
Only 2 heatpipes but I wonder if they can handle it with a fan added!

AC Accelero S2 + 92 or 120 fan enough for GTS 250?
I just picked up a cheap Geforce GTS 250 1GB (Gainward Deep Green Editiion). It is slightly underclocked but the stock fan is still pretty noisy. I would like to keep the card short in case I use it in a smaller PC at some point so I'm wondering whether an Arctic Cooling Accelero S2 with a zip-tied ...

thanks for the advice all. It will certainly be interesting to find out whether the flat CAT6 cable makes a difference when I get some gigabit hardware, I have a long spare rounded cable so I will test. I've decided to try a coupler and found a cheap one that is labeled as CAT6 and shielded, not sur...

thanks for the response. Putting a new cable in would certainly be the ideal but unfortunately the current cable goes through several walls and under fitted carpets (it's a flat one) to get to me. I only want to refit another one if there is significant change in performance! I think I'll try a coup...

switch or coupler
Hi there, I have just rearranged my bedroom which has my PC in and now my 20m cat6 cable from my main switch is too short to reach the PC. At the moment I am using a spare gigabit switch and an extra cable to extend to the switch at my PC. However the switch in question was relegated to a spare beca...

Hiya, I am selling my 2 BFG 9600GT OC 512MB GDDR3 cards both of which have Artic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev.2 coolers fitted. These were bought all together only a couple of months ago from OCUK: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-067-BG http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.ph...

I bought 2 BFG 9600GT OC's which I run in sli. Installed Accelero S1 Rev2's on both no problem in P180b, no fans on them. 42+45 idle, 51+56 load. No coil whine. However these were replacements for 2 x self branded ones from overclockers UK which did have a lot of coil whine and didn't even fit prope...

Buying quiet PC components in L.A.
Hi there, I'm staying in L.A. (Anaheim to be specific) for 5 nights and was hoping to order some parts from newegg.com while I was here, but they only accept american credit or debit cards and won't ship to a hotel so I'm out of luck there. I am really hoping to take advantage or the current market ...

Can ZM VNF100 cool 3870 HD and fit in Antec Fusion/NSK2400?
I have a friend with the Antec NSK2400 case who wants to upgrade his pc for some gaming but wants a passive card. He wants a radeon 3870 and I know these can be cooled passively by things like the thermalright HR-03 and the AC Accelero S series but I'm pretty sure both of these stick out past the ca...

Buying parts in Canada to bring/post back to U.K.?
hi there and thanks for having a look! I'm going on a round the world trip from the U.K. where my last stop will be staying with some of my gf's relatives in Toronto. I have basically sold off my main PC and all my spare parts with the intention of building a new one when I return. I am wondering wh...

Geforce 6600 AGP cards are a pain to quieten (at least some of them including one I had which was PNY iirc), because of a funny chip position, I got an AeroCool VM-102 which was the only passive cooler which claimed to fit it, but it couldn't fit on the card and in a case (P180) at the same time bec...

I'm in the UK and have had a HX520 for quite a while, I change systems quite often and so far it has run silent without any buzz, whine etc with the following kit (all the time in a P180 with Scythe Ninja). Asus P5W DH Deluxe, C2D 6400, 2GB Corsair, Geforce 6800 ECS p4m800pro-m478, 3.5Ghz Northwood,...

FS: Aerocool VM-102 - Passive cooling for any Graphics Card
This is a few months old, I ran it on a Geforce 6600GT AGP as it was the only cooler I could find that claimed to fit any card. Worked fine but I've since upgraded that system and sold the card to a friend who doesn't care about noise so this is now surplus to requirements. Comes in original packagi...

This is literally only a couple of months old. Original invoice available to buyer if required (from www.komplett.co.uk). In perfect working order (selling to raise funds for travelling). This card has run perfectly for me and easily stays cool in my P180 rig. Most modern game I've run on it was Sta...
