I guess I was really trying to ascertain what drawbacks having a needlessly overpowered psu would bring. there aren't really any, apart from the extra noise (the fan in a 1000W unit will be a higher-speed model to deal with the huge amount of heat at full load; that's rarely good for silence). IMO,...

LGA775 holes are positioned in a square so they can rotated 90 degrees without problem. The only problem you might have is using RAM modules with very tall heatsinks fitted. but otherwise the heatsink may over hang the RAM slots, but you can still fit and remove modules, might just be a bit trickier...

Does the Twin Turbo hang over the card like the HR-03 coolers? I'd like to get a cooler that's more or less the same width as the VGA card. with 80mm fans, this might work out. it should be the same width as the card PCB, height above the card is roughly the same as the AC S1 without fan. basically...

are the CU- part and the red frame 2 seperate parts or are the stuck toghether? so in theory one could use the red frame for cooling mem and VRM and the S1 or the core? it appears that the red metal frame is removable so you can leave them on to cool the RAM and VRMs. It would only act as a large h...

Wow. I replaced my "silent pipe 2" gigabyte 2600xt with one of these. temps are about 12-15 degrees cooler at idle and 20 - 25 degrees cooler at load. Obviously I have rev. 2 and I had no problems sticking on the memory heatsinks. I don't know whether it was because they have upgraded their solutio...

it shouldn't, I have a Q6600 at 3.24GHz (folding 24/7) and 8800GT, during gaming my HX620W doesn't increase in sound according to corsair its 18dBA until 40% load, and 23dBA at 50% load for the HX520W 18dBA 40% 20dBA 50% 23dBA 60% So the increased load shouldn't cause fan ramping. Now I know your ma...

passive heatsinks usually always get hot or at least very warm to the touch if its cold or cool then either the heatsource is low temp, heatsink is very good or bad contact. if its warm then its working fine if its burning hot then the heatsink is not powerful enough, ambient temp is too hot or not ...

just clean the ram chips and then press and hold the ram sinks for 10-15 seconds each, they will stick fine. people with problems just didn't clean the ram chips or press and hold properly (sandwich heatsink, ram chip and PCB between your thumb and forefinger) a bit time consuming perhaps, but the o...

well depends, from all the reviews I've seen it is indeed a quiet beast despite having 4 case fans by default, plus whatever gfx and cpu fan you use, obviously quietness is still down to the components but apparently its not difficult to have a quiet system with this case. Its much bigger than the P...
