Thanks for the reply jhhoffma. I do feel that you are correct, unfortunately :( . I was planning on contacting Newegg in the next few days, knowing that as great as it seems....the right thing to do is contact them. However, I don't think it would be because someone contacts them on a tv they are ex...

BIG Shipping Mixup...Opinions?

Ok, so I have recently been the beneficiary of quite a shipping mistake by Newegg... The short of this is that I ordered a DVD player for $75 and this is the amount both Newegg charged, and that my bank statement shows. Thing is....a DVD player is not what I received. Instead I was sent an 32" LCD t...

I've got the S12-430, and I love it. It is only audible if you are about a foot away. I would suggest either of the S12's, and I'm sure many people from this forum will as well.

SpeedFan questions?

Ok, so I am using SpeedFan 4.31. By default, all temperatures were listed as "Temp 1", "Temp 2", etc. I believe I have correctly identified which temps are the CPU and HD, but I am unsure as to which is the Motherboard temp and what the others are. I'm not sure if anyone can tell me this from lookin...

The seasonic S12 line of PSU's is top of the line. The S12-430 would provide plenty power for your system, and it's about as quite a PSU as you can find. Can't go wrong with any of the Seasonic's really. If you're interested, they also have a modular line of PSU's, the M12 series. Edit: Sorry, I did...

Yes, I figured the Intel vs AMD argument would come up at some point. Kater and Plissken got it right!! BUDGET!! The Intel E6300 is around $50 more expensive than the AMD X2 3800+. Even the E4300 is $40 more. I've had both AMD and Intel CPU's so I'm not set on either one....but I've read lots of rev...

Thanks for the replys and suggestions! I definitely agree with you vincentfox and kater on Vista. Like I said....I set my comp up for a while so I could boot up into Vista or XP. I just wanted to see what Vista had to offer...and I really wasn't impressed. It's just XP with a couple graphical change...

Hey rich99 I have the logitech z2300 speakers. I absolutely love them!! They are about $100-120 depending on where you look. The sounds from the satelites is crisp and clear, and the sub can really pound if that is what you are looking for. The sub is quite large...something like 11w x 11h x 15d. To...

kater: Sorry I wasn't real clear on the CPU...I said only the 3800+, but I meant X2 3800+. I definitely want to go dual core, just wasn't sure whether there was $35 worth of an increase in performanc between the X2 3800+ and the X2 4200+, and if I would be better served by spending the $35 towards a...

Planned BUDGET Build

First of all, this is my first post but I have been roaming this AWESOME SITE and the forums for the last 6 months or so wishing I could get started with my build. But I'm a poor college student... :( I have been trying to wait so I could save up enough money to build a better system that will last ...
