You don't need the low-profile Yate Loons for the spots you want. A normal size Yate Loon is fine for all of the numbered positions except for 3. Only in spot 3 will you need the low profile Yate Loon.

What programs are you using to monitor your temps? Also, you do know that it takes AS5 200 hours to burn in before you see any real temperature drop?

It also depends on what kind of fans, hard drives, HSF, and GPU you're using. The case isn't the only thing that makes a PC silent.

I got worse temps with the duct tape mod. I have a Corsair HX520 with a Yate Loon running at full speed in front the PSU. There's only two drives there. Without the mod, HDD temps were around 37C to 41C. With the mod, HDD temps were around 39C to 43C.

So the duct tape doesn't work for me either.

Will this fan fit in front of the lower hard drive bay of the P180?

I say try it out and see for yourself. When I turned the top fan into an intake, my CPU temps dropped 2-3C, 4C lower if I removed the fan cover.

Have you thought about cutting out the fan grill in the back of the case? On my X-Dreamer II, temps for the CPU and system dropped down 3-4 degrees when the grill was cut off.
