Hi. I've made my own wood case but chose a different approach: bottom to top air flow. http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=39383 Also there are a number of other cases built by spcr fans that use the same principle (you can search the "general gallery" section for inspiration). Anyways i've noticed on a certain website i go to that they no longer stock FANLESS PSU's.
Is this because they are very inefficient? or have a high failure rate?
Mostly because they are expensive and people don't buy them...Also I've heard people complaining about failing Antec Phanthom's.

if one thing I can suggest from my experience building my wood case is WIRES ARE SHORT!!!. Plan carefully where your wires are suposed to be. The wires that power the computer from the power source are most troubling.

Good luck!

surely the backlight undergoes a state change? that may be so...but you must consider the fact that a LCD monitor comes with a 3 year warranty...they must have thought of this issue...and if after 3 years the LCD does fail...oh well...by that time a similar monitor might cost 3-4 times less then it...

Since we are talking about green computing, 2 x 750GB HDD are the best solution in my opinion! Reusing 40G or 80G HDD's won't get us any were, because they will use just as much power as the 750 G. It is expensive but from a power consumption point of view is the best GB/W ratio :D. Hell, I'm still ...
