I was really hoping of running it passivly without tying a fan to it. Since until I get some Hybrid Power/SLI Mainboard+GFX Card, the card is really just sitting there, consuming power and displaying my desktop :)

Will look into NiBiTor

6 SDHCs in a RAID0,... so if one breaks, you lose the data on all of them. AWESOME.

As for the difference between SDHC and SSD: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=4258

The Lady at Gigabyte told me "shipping begins in September" but who knows how long it takes until shops have sold their old Revs and order a new batch. :/

Oh, if anyone is still interested in this, I sent Gigabyte a mail a week ago or more, they replied and said that shipping of the Rev 2.0 boards would start in September.

But of course it can take a bit more time until they actually get to the resellers.

Yeah, I am very interested in the DS3R since it can run both, DDR2 and DDR3.

Not planning to wait for 45nm CPUs, cause with the DS3R I can still upgrade to them later~

There are a few 7300GT with Dual Link DVI, almost all 7600Gx sport Dual Link DVI too. Personally, I wouldn't go for a card with DVI+VGA tho. 2x DVI is the way to go. Chances are higher that you'll soon have another DVI Monitor than ever again a VGA one. Most cars come with an adapter anyway. http://...

Weird resolution.

Oh, and I am all for thumbnails, but I do want high-detail pics in 1600x1200+ of the inside of a case.

640x480 for the inside of a case is useless, as is 56k.

As I haven't even seen a 2,5" SATA HDD my question is pretty basic:
Are 2,5" SATA HDDs special, as in datacable or power? (2,5" IDE has 44 pin IDE, 4 for power, 40 for data)

As I am buying a new E4300 System soon (hopefully passivly cooled with a Ninja) I would like to know more about this "custom start circuit" you use for your systemfans.

A Guide with pictures would do ;)

You can't shut your HDD down while downloading yes, but you can set most BT clients to not write every 32KB to disk but like... every 512KB or more. Thus there are less, *bigger* writes.

Would have to look into the advanced settings at home :x

The MacMini would definatly be worth your 99$ extra. It has a Core Duo (NOT Core 2!, yet) CPU and not some lame Celeron. ;)

And on the IntelMacs you can run pretty much any OS you want. :)

Hi, I've got a few questions related to your system. 1) Is your NB and SB ok with the AC applied or would you recommend buying the Zalman NB watercooler? Temperature-wise. 2) Is your gfx-card ok without VRAM coolers? 3) Is that a Dell 2407WFP? If so, A03 or A04? 4) How much did you spend on your sys...

In my experience windows does not show all available resolutions of a card. Only the ones the monitor can support. Like my CRT (4:3) can only do 1600x1200 - if you believe Windows. However if I plug in a 16:10 Monitor it shows 16:10 resolutions - just like it should. This is not the fault of Windows...

Does it mail you? Does it play a sound? What are the options?

The funny thing though is that even when the TRT utility reports 78 C, the metal that the Scythe Ninja is made of doesn't feel very warm. I would guess 35-40 C, and MUCH cooler than my passively cooled Gigabyte 7600GS GFX card. Could the TRT utility be providing an inaccurate measurement? Lets see....

Yes, Socket 462 is Socket A.

Depending on your case I'd go for either BitTyp or SonicTower.
Zalman is also silent, but with the others you have more options free as in, you decide what fan you use :)

Yeah, the problem is that DVI's single-link maximum pixel clock rate, in theory, limits you to 1600x1200 though that interface. Now lots of cards can go past that, but some can't, and it isn't a function of the graphics chipset, unfortunately. Hence my concern. Single Link DVI can display 1920x1200...

There are several options for thin client type cases that do not have space for a drive, and are therefore tiny and often silent. However they only have space for pc/104 or nano-itx motherboards, and nothing that will come close to mATX or similar that you could put a C2D into. Most boards of this ...

I was not able to find the "Thinkplus" keyboard but I found an other one.

Now I got a question, is this the same as mentioned in your posts and by the thread opener?
