Would the PW-200-V & Dell DA-2 be enough?

Never mind, ordered the gear and hopefully it'll be enough for my needs.

I undervolt my E6400 equipped file/bittorrent server...as it is on 24/7 I thought I'd save energy (even if just a bit) by undervolting the CPU at stock speeds...got it down to 0.95v with EIST enabled...(2.13Ghz at load, 1.6Ghz at idle)

E6400, Stepping L2, running at stock speeds with EIST enabled (going between 1.6 and 2.13Ghz) 0.975 (BIOS), 0.944 (Windows) Gigbabyte DS3P, Orthos stable for 8 1/2 hours now..any lower than that and Orthos fails after a couple of minutes (~0.95v) / seconds (0.90v).

Thanks guys for your replies, I will probably go the AMD path (saves me ~$AU200) and I might just go a notebook drive instead of SSD as it's double the price of the notebook drive.

I'm hoping to get this system to consume no more than 50-60w...

Low power HTPC, HD/Bluray capable

Hello fellow SPCR'ians, I have decided that I want to upgrade / replace my current P4 HTPC with something more power efficient...I have been doing some research for the past month or so but I am still at a loss as to which setup would be the best for me. I am willing to go with either AMD / Intel (w...

If you're worried about the heat, just replace the stock heatsink with the Accelero S1 and you should see the temps drop between 10-20*C depending on if you put a fan on it or near it. The 8800GT is an awesome card to have in your system, you should be able to play most games (except for Crysis, of ...

Hey Aelek,

No worries, I disconnected the fan that is on the S1 and put a Antec TriCool on Low at the front of the case in front of the videocard (not attached to the upper hard drive cage).

Ambient temps ~25*C

VGA Temps (idle/load)
GPU: 52*C/70*C
Amb: 43*C/54*C

Hope this helps you buddy.
