a "safe" temp is anything below the listed thermal threashold for any specific piece of electronics. you should look each of them up on its company's website to learn what they are. most HD's are 55c i think C2D's will "throttle" at 70c, though i'm not sure (so dont quote this one). video cards can...

What are normal temperatures, and how should i monitor them?
I can't seem to find normal operating temperatures for my system's components. I'm starting modestly but within the year I'll probably be dabbling in overclocking and perhaps a dual SLI NV 7950GT.
